I will not be returning to this post office. I made an appointment for two passport renewals. On the day of, I arrived at about 7:50am. The doors are supposed to open at 8:00am. At 8:03am not such a big deal, but very unprofessional, I said that I was there for a passport appointment. The associate says, "Oh nobody ain't called you? The passport agent called out today." I just walked away. The post office on Louisiana Avenue was PHENOMENAL! I was in and out in about 15 -20 minutes!
Didn’t open on time. Had an appointment for passports for 8am and they didn’t open till 8:15. It’s 8:45 and I’m still waiting. There’s only one person at the register and she’s the only passport agent, apparently. The line is long due to them opening late. I was at the beginning of the line and people that were behind me and my kids have already been taken care of and left. If I’m not at work, I don’t get paid. I only have 45 mins left to do this, drop them off to school and go back to work….This was supposed to be a 30 min thing and we’re still sitting here waiting. Beautiful location, but awful service.
Larry is condescending and ignorant of mail forwarding policies and timelines. He is unable to articulate to customers why mail that was received by the post office on Feb 6th did not show up to our mailbox until Feb 23rd. He tried to brush me off multiple times. Something is terribly mismanaged at this post office.
Postal workers stealing packages from off of porches. Scan packages and than take it with them. Constantly delivering wrong mail to the house.
I came in for a passport appointment and the gentleman was polite and everything was taken care of in about twenty minutes. No wait. Also the building is beautiful
US Postal Service 3400 S Carrollton Ave New Orleans La 70118 On August 21st, 2023, I got a call from Representative S. Davis who called to update me on the status of my undelivered packages. Service Request# 54240711 over which I was worried. She was consistently pleasant, considerate, and well-spoken. Use her wisely; she's a gem. She was knowledgeable about my situation and understood the genuine value of excellent customer service. She promptly addressed each of my inquiries and provided me with the knowledge I required. She showed me that she was listening to what I had to say. She was effective and supportive. The assistance I received was timely and exceptional. I had a good experience. The overall encounter left me feeling good.I hope her work to the USPS is acknowledged and recognized. I honestly believe that USPS is dedicated to providing their customers with the highest caliber of customer service. An act to satisfy, if not delight, its customers. I was thoroughly satisfied with the overall experience. Special thanks, Ms. Davis. Respectfully Submitted Glenda H. went in for a passport. had to wait a while since I didn't schedule an appointment but once it was my turn, I was in and outalready had everything filled out before hand. Clerk was really considerate and even apologized for the wait. really nice too which made the whole experience great even with the wait time.
Scheduled a passport appointment to be told on arrival that they weren't doing passports - Marilyn Jackson was unhelpful, refused to call USPS - Loyola Ave because if you call they won't answer - told us to go there and when we got there the only person doing passports was at lunch and was going to have to give lunch to someone else and wouldn't help us. If you need a passport, sounds like you just can't get one in New Orleans.
I received great service today from Kyanna at this post office for the application of my passport. She was quick and knowledgeable and friendly. I did make a reservation online but I went early around 9am and did not have to wait. The only feedback I have to make it clear where to sign up for and wait for people applying for passports. That was unclear but Kyanna was quick to assist.
Checks get stolen in mail and forged/cashed, passport office requests you get there 10 mins early for first AM appointment and then makes you wait 30 mins and only 80% of your sent mail actually shows up. Other than that they are great!
