incompetent and rude. at 10am, usps employee told me they had a backlog of mail and might not get it all delivered into the po boxes today. at 3pm i checked back to see if they had loaded the po boxes, and same employee says nobody is even sorting or delivering to the po boxes today because theyre all working the windows. i asked for a supervisor because it didnt seem right that theyre just sitting on the mail. the clerk said theres no supervisor, put up his "window closed" sign and just walked away. i guess he needed a break from not delivering the mail.
I had an appointment scheduled for a saturday for a passport application. I had a confirmation number and an email saying to show up at 08:15. When i did a lady said they were not doing passport application on the saturday and she did not know why the computer keep letting people schedule for that day. I had waited to that appointment for about 3 weeks. It was very inconvenient and found it unprofessional from a federal agancy to be so disinterested and careless about notifying me ahead or fix the issue.
Sorry, can't rate anything lower than zero...looking at filing legal charges against the postmaster for purposely holding mail which is a felony as they are holding up the mail which goes against thier policy of "the mail must go through" along with possibly a "hate crime" for refusing to deliver to our entire house plus another address of the same management across town for 5 MONTHS NOW and now trying to claim I myself filled out a hold mail request which I DID NOT. I'm fed up qith the poor service of this location and excessively long lines
Margret is such a kind person and seems to enjoy her job and speaking with customers. Everywhere is understaffed and lines are long, I appreciate her kindness and other customers should be more understanding
The whole USPS is completely incompetent. I payed extra to have my package delivered express and it was late. I NEEDED it by a certain day so I called the second it was late. On hold for 45 minutes before being connected. The lady tells me it’s in the next town over and it’s stuck or something. I tell her “okay I need it by noon tomorrow, if I go to the location and pick it up will it be there or will it be on the truck for delivery? Cause it can’t be on the truck and be delivered after noon. I’d rather they hold it for me to pick up .” She says “just go there first thing in the morning it’ll be there.” I try to call the post office in the next town where they said it would be but google gives you the same international hotline for every location. So I have to drive 20 minutes to the Westbrook post office. They say it’s not there, that it’s in Portland and they haven’t updated their tracking address or something since they changed locations out of my zip code. It’s been YEARS since there has been a post office in my zip code. So that was a waste of time. I call the hotline just to ask the representative for the number to the Portland location which is apparently the only way to get their number. I call twice. No answer. I go to the post office. I tell them the situation. They say “oh there wasn’t couriers for your route yesterday, it’ll be delivered today or tomorrow.” I tell the lady I paid extra for shipping because I needed it by noon today and that was unacceptable. The package is no good to be after noon. They check again, it’s on the truck for delivery but they don’t know if it’ll deliver before noon. I told them that this is exactly what I told the lady on the phone I was afraid of. Basically they couldn’t help me. Didn’t say sorry. Didn’t try to problem solve or compensate me for my time. I just left angry and took a $4 packing envelope as compensation for my time. The USPS has horrible infrastructure and communication. Absolutely horrible experience.
All of my packages have arrived in record time at a MUCH lower cost over the past 10 years using the good old USA Postal Service. And every time I am there, I am treated with polite and cheerful service. Support these folks- they are doing a great service at a time of cutbacks.
Showed for a scheduled passport appt No one available to help no solutions offered from one staff member there No supervisor available Totally unacceptable
I understand why the post office is so completely and totally mued up. It is impossible to speak to a real person you try to call a local post office and it’s all the same number that goes to an automated something and you’re never ever ever ever ever connected with a real person. Haven’t gotten mail in a couple of weeks
They don't respond to customer service requests. They closed my ticket without contacting me at all and have continued to try to close out my package. It said it was delivered, but it did not show up to my house and it still hasn't in over TWO WEEKS. I had to contact USPS customer service on my own only to be told my ticket was closed and they told me to try a missing mail search. I put in my missing mail search yesterday and they already tried to close it this morning since it was "delivered". I would not be going through all of this if it was delivered, they just don't care to actually follow up or look for missing packages.
Aimee processed our passport applications carefully and professionally. She explained the whole process and ensured everything was clear and accurate.
