Here waiting at 9:15am on Friday for the office to open at the advertised time of 9:00am. Been here 20 minutes. ..
ZERO. This used to be my favorite post office but I just received the RUDEST treatment I’ve ever gotten at any post office ever in my life. I’m trying to mail 30 holiday cards in a standard envelope size that are a tad poofy. At first they were rejected because of their width and the woman stated that they were packages and would cost 5 dollars to ship A PIECE. I indicated that it was cardboard and I could flatten it if the air to fit the standard letter width a device that measures the width that if you can fit it through, it’s a letter. Once I flattened it and fit it through the slot easily, she still refused to accept them and would not explain to me why. I was patiently and politely asking her, if it fits through the slot, and it’s light, what makes it a package? She would not answer. She offered no other options or help. She was hostile from beginning to end. I understand how difficult people can be as I’m a waitress, but I wasn’t being rude and needed help. Then she said, “I said what I said,” and stormed off to the back like a child. The supervisor was not there for me to speak to at 3:30. No one helped me after she disappeared. There was a long line behind me and the only other person working there was completely busy. What a disappointment. I’ll be going to another post office forever. UPDATE: I put all my cards in a mailbox and they were all delivered. Clearly my cards were standard size.
This place is kinda hard to find on maps. the post office is located within an indoor mall of sorts. You will have to take an elevator down to the "CL" level and you will see the post office. from the street this is not seen. I walked by the "mall" like three times until I figured out I needed to go in. Once there the employees are super helpful. if you need a self addressed envelope for any embassy, they have those no problems! I just walked in and didn't have to wait in any lines and got immediate assistance. No too bad for a major city post office, plan on being in and out in quickly. Hope this helps!
This post office has the best people and is so efficient. Especially the passport manager. I've tried to use other locations like Georgetown and they are not as good.
Unkempt and understaff. Very long lines taking an average of 5 minutes per customer.
My goal was to ask USPS a question over the phone regarding inaccurate mail delivery. I tried 2 different phone numbers listed online. On both numbers, I received the same recorded message. After pressing 0 and requesting to speak to an Agent, the automated voice kept repeating the same phrase. My call was never transferred to an Agent. Why doesn't the call menu have an option number to speak to an agent? The USPS should install this feature, enabling their automated system to be more customer service oriented.
Best customer service! They are very kind and knowledgeable, they won’t rush you and will help you in every step of the way for whatever you need to do
The best post office experience I've had! All the staff in this location are patient, friendly, knowledge and swift. I have rarely ever had to wait to get attended. Keep up the great work :-.
Would not recommend going here. I had a non machinable letter, they tried to charge me again even though the stamp I already paid for said “non machinable”. Would not trust letters dropped off here.
I have had my fair share of experiences with the post office but every time I come into this location they are always friendly and helpful. Today Myra went above and beyond to help me locate a package that I needed to stop transit on. I cannot remember the other nice lady who has worked there for years name but she was also so kind and helpful. I really appreciate the staff here.
