Had a terrible experience here. I had been in pain for a few weeks and had called in to schedule an appt and the receptionist spoke rudly and didn’t even ask what tooth was hurting, she said she will have the doctor look at my chart and see what treatment is needed to be done over all and would give me a call back in 2 days. She didn’t call back for 2weeks and then decided to schedule an appt for me about another tooth. Also scheduling an appt takes a long time.

I had really bad experience no response they did a root canal to me and on the last appointment they said the tooth need to be extracted the second problem is they deal by coding and if you experienced any services in between like root canal two visit then extraction they will considerer the root uncompleted services and this a long debates with them and insurance the third issue is there is no patient portal the fourth issue is you have to pay to get copy of your records I called them like 100s of times as I had strong pain even no one seems to care and by the way they know my problem and now its two months and I am struggling with the referral and still no one care very bad experience don’t go there, don’t forget the long waiting time on phone with no one solve any issues.

Nightmare! Was encouraged to have broken tooth pulled. Student was left alone to do the extraction. She chose the wrong tools. She dropped the suction, picked it up , then when the assitstant came, she put it back in my mouth. She worked the tooth so hard i think she killed the one next to it. Im bleeding so much I might have to get my gum sewed

They took two and a half hours just to tell me I have a cavity that they told me about on my first appointment with three months in between. The senior member was very knowledgeable, but I can't understand why they would make us wait 2.5hrs to tell me the exact same thing I was told last time. They took one hour from the whole experience to write a summary of the things they checked, and we had to wait again for the senior member to return to sign off the form. What took him five minutes to do took and hour for the student to do. Not much benefit over going to an external dentistry. I even fell asleep in the chair for some time waiting on them to finish figuring out the software they were using.

I dread going to the dentist. It's uncomfortable, expensive and I usually leave in pain after I'm done having someone talk down to me for an hour. I recently broke a tooth that was causing a lot of pain and went to a local place I found on Google and the dentist told me he could prescribe me pain meds and antibiotics but I would have to see an oral surgeon. The oral surgeon told me he could get me in a week later. I couldn't wait that long. I couldn't function because of the pain and I don't feel like pumping myself full of Percocet 24hrs a day. A friend of mine recently graduated from UW and he told me to call the dental school. I did. They said they didn't have an appointment but I could come in at 9am the next morning on standby. I really didn't have a choice. I showed up with my headphones and phone ready to catch up on a few hours of Game of Thrones but I was taken back in less than 5 minutes. I sit down and after a few questions and a quick x-ray the student informs me that he thinks the extraction is pretty straightforward and he doesn't think I need to see an oral surgeon. He brings over the overseeing dentist and he gives the thumbs up. I have never had a less painful smoother procedure. They kept me informed the entire time and did their best to keep me comfortable. I walked out the door less than an hour from when I walked in and I was on standby. Ive had cleanings that took longer and were more painful. Chris Harris performed the extraction assisted by Rochelle and I wish them both the best in their future dental endeavors and if that's the quality of care I can expect from the UW School of Dentistry maybe I won't dread going to the dentist anymore. Thanks again.
