Van Saun County Park

This is a great park to walk around. There are lots of dog walkers and a dog park. There is a pond that you can fish in and see lots of geese, ducks and turtles. The zoo and playgrounds are great for children. The zoo charges admission from May through August but you can buy a tax-deductible zoo membership to visit as often as you like and get invited to members activities. The park has several play areas for various ages including sprinklers and ladders and slides. Beware It gets very crowded on weekends.

This place is great for the kids. The zoo, train ride, carousel, and park all in one location makes it ideal to keep the kids entertained. Plus the splash area for the kids makes it ideal for a whole day of activities. It's only draw back is not having food on site. If you plan to spend the day make sure you bring your picnic basket. There is an eating area with bathrooms near by. It is a public bathroom so bringing your own hand sanitizer/soap and toilet paper/wipes is a good idea.

Very nice park for a day trip. This was my first time going. Very affordable zoo. The park is huge, nice picnic area. I wish the zoo had more animals, we kind ofndid the entire park in about 20 minutes because most of the enclosures had no animals which was a bummer for my son. Restroom in the zoo area was clean.

Love it. Great unique animals and well taken care of. A great park but hold onto your possessions. I love it but moving towards the grilling area looks a bit more "less safe". Still should be okay. Go in groups and watch your children.

We had a great time at the park. The kids and I loved that there were so many different sections of the park! There were swings, slides, bridges, a splash area and much more. Something for everyone.
