My mother is severely immune-compromised, the nurse that has been coming to our home to provide in home health services has never been vaccinated against COVID 19. My father died from COVID 19 in March of 2020. When I called to complain directly to Vanura they were aggressive and told me that its the nurse's right to not be vaccinated. This is dangerous, disrespectful to those of us who have lost loved ones to COVID and unethical. I will be filing a formal complaint with her insurance. This company clearly harbors anti vaccine attitudes and bizarre aggressive attitudes against their clients.
I've worked for Vanura for a little over two years off and on while I attend nursing school. I've never in my life worked for a company were they make you feel like family. My co-workers are friendly and supportive, I drive 33 miles one way to work here for those reasons. The owners are very passionate and determined to be the Home Health provider that hospitals and doctors turn to when their patients need home care because for Vanura, patient care is # 1. Our nurses are compassionate and very caring-some of the best around! If my family ever needs home health, I wouldn't hesitate to call Vanura to care for my own family because I know they'll do everything within their means to make sure my loved one is taken care of.
I started working for Vanura a few months ago but I can tell that I found the right place to work for, this is what I call home away from home. All the employees are nice and friendly especially the owners. We are a strong team with strong leaders and our number one priority is providing good quality care to our patients. We make sure that we contribute to the community. Go Vanura!!!!
I found this home health company not only a concern but a disgrace to all home health companies. Their nurses are incompetent and unprofessional. They have no respect for you as a patient or your home, they will just show up whenever they please. Their on call nurse for the phone line is extremely rude and passive. They will show up several hours late after giving you a 3-4 hour estimate of when they'll show up....well that's if you're lucky enough that they'll even show up for your scheduled day. Also if you do infusions please be careful, they will run your line on open to finish in 45 minutes when my doctor ordered it to be administered over 2 hours. One nurse that came to my house didn't know how to properly start an IV and talked down to me the entire time. They never read my case file, as each nurse would look at me and turn their head questioning if I was the patient....then saying "oh wow, you're so young" when my case file obviously states my age. They would send a nurse to come over after they had just worked a 12 hour shift somewhere else. This nurse had asked to come in the morning after he got off from his second job. They only want to come when convenient whether that be to make some money driving on the way home throwing a shirt over their other work shirt with an ID badge on after their 12 hour shift or tell me they'll only be able to have me on their schedule if agree for them to come those 2 days after their other job.
If your going through a treatment process that requires admitting and discharge and not just a one time thing from these folks, stay away. My husband had them for picc line care and all was well until he got admitted to the hospital and discharged needing care again. Insurance approved it and Vanura chose to deny him for no reason other than they didn't want to take him back. Called on the phone to try and get to the bottom of it and office staff was beyond rude, unhelpful and you can talk to 2 different people and they say different things without communicating to each other. The 2 nurses we had were nice but if you have to deal with their office staff stay clear, bad attitudes and no help when you need it. Would give no stars but the nurses were nice like I said so that's what got them 2.
My LVN was wonderful. She was very caring and listened intently to any questions I asked. She gave me straight and honest answers. Vanura' s representative called me to follow up on my progress right away. I would definitely recommend Vanura to anyone. Thank you again for your services.
I love how Kirinda has always been there to help me with anything and everything I've needed help with also my nurses and PT and OT
