I cannot recall the name of my doctor but the last name starts with an O. She was so sympathetic and kind to my cat, and the rest of the staff seemed so Mindful and sweet! Going to the vet for me is so nerve wracking no matter how simple the thing we're going for is, so a good doctor/vet that's kind to me and my pet is a necessity. Also I'm very wary of places that are looking to upcharge you and just force some prescription on you, and I didn't get that vibe at all from this place. Couldn't recommend this place more from my experience today :
I cannot express enough how grateful I am for the outstanding care my dog, Rocky, has received at VCA. Dr. Mix and her team have truly gone above and beyond to ensure that my Great Dane, Rocky, is a healthy and happy boy. Dr. Mix is an extraordinary veterinarian who genuinely cares about her patients, whom she affectionately calls "kids." My dog has had a few health challenges, and Dr. Mix has been incredibly thorough and attentive in finding the right medications and treatments for him. She takes the time to explain every detail, answer all my questions, and make sure I am fully informed about Rocky's health and treatment options. The staff is always welcoming, and the environment is clean, calm, and comfortable. I highly recommend VCA to any pet owner.
I used to go to VCA but felt they tried to upsell me and didn’t give good guidance on care. For example, after being seen by the vet, the vet would leave and the tech would come back in with an iPad and offer 7 different options of care plans that ranged from $50-$2000 and the vet wouldn’t provide a recommendation or talk about all the options beforehand. This left me confused on which option to choose. They also take your pet into the back room to give them shots. At this clinic they did not offer 3 year rabies shots either for cats. On top of all this, it was more expensive than other vet clinics nearby.
The staff are accommodating and friendly and they have always been good to us and our two Poms. We have an older Pom, though, that had what we were told was a mammary tumor that was not cancerous based on what the extracted fluid looked like. The doctor told us she had possible pulmonary fibrosis and an enlarged heart so she would not remove it. We asked for x-rays twice to confirm she was not a surgical candidate. The doctor told us it was not necessary and she wouldnt do x-rays for just that reason so we kept bringing her in to drain the mass and make her more comfortable. My daughter is a vet tech in another state and when we visited recently with the dogs, she insisted we ask her doctors. They did an xray. She had a heart murmer that she should have been on medication for, she had no pulmonary fibrosis or enlarged heart and blood work was perfect. Her diagnosed mass was not a mass, but rather a very large hernia! She could have constricted and died! They did surgery to repair the hernia. I have given this doctor ample time to respond to my call to discuss this. I could report her. I could sue for all the money we spent aspirating...and what were they aspirating? Her intestional fluid? Because her intestines were outside her body. I really just want her to be aware of her mistakes. I guess since she is showing no interest, we will go elsewhere. Doctor, in the future, if your client twice asks you for x-rays and are willing to pay, next time listen! Do the damned xrays!
Very nice people! The vet here is amazing. She's fast and gets it done in a great way! My cat came in for a fish hook and they got it out np! Love these people!
I always had a great experience with the staff here and it’s nice they have some more extended hours, but I have to agree with other reviews that the costs at this clinic are just unaffordable for me and for most people. It may be different if you have pet insurance, but $111+ for a new patient then $102 once established patient just for an exam fee, $54 rabies shot, $54 DA2P-Pv 4L vaccine, $52 bordatella intranasal vaccine. I was at $250+ for each of my two dogs just for the yearly visit. I will note they give you a price breakdown before they do anything so you can pick and chose what services to do, and nothing was tacked on as a surprise at the end. My dogs don’t have any chronic conditions, the exam fee doesn’t include any testing, just exam. It’s a wonderful clinic if you can pay the fees, unfortunately they priced out most people who live in the area like me who are going to school with limited income. I made a switch to a different clinic in the area where the exact same appointment was $90 for each dog and although I had to wait a bit longer for an appointment, the cost difference is HUGE! Again I want to say I have nothing against the clinic and service I experienced, I just wanted to post this review as a fair warning to those who may not realize the price, to be prepared for the costs of this clinic. Maybe once I’m out of school and making money I can switch back for the convenience of location, hours, and more services they can offer, but at this time of you are looking for a no frills clinic this is not it.
What a wonderful vet clinic. They pay attention to my animals and help me keep them healthy, and they make the entire process as painless as it could be. We've been going to them for over 30 years, and just love the doctors and the staff! Recommend them highly.
On vacation and brought my fur baby to Dr. Sharron helped us so much without ruining our vacation! Extremely thankful!
So thankful for VCA & the service our dog Max received. The vet team truly cared about our medical concerns & worked with us to get our little guy feeling better. Top quality service & attentive staff. Will recommend!
I have been with VCA Animal Medical Center BEFORE it became a corporate vet., I really do love the vets there but I find overall, it may be time to part ways. They rates go up and now their hours are reduced. I had credit to use so I made an appointment to update my dogs shots. $124 just to walk in the door and by the time I walked out, the bill was over $300. These charges are no way competitive. If they saw small animals, I could almost consider staying. I will say this. I did have a slight emergency with my ball python and Dr, Rausch was super in seeing her. Luckily it was not anything serious. For people that work, getting off work, and trying to get a beloved animal to the vet before they close at 6PM during the week can ben next to impossible. They are open one late night a week and of course Saturdays so those appointments are going to be a difficult to get, Forget trying to work with the corporate VCA Care Club representatives.. Rude and not helpful at all! I have since transferred my animals And by the way, if you all really wanted my business, you can contact me!
