I’m very grateful and appreciate all the staff at VCA, everyone was incredibly friendly. My cat Lulu spent three nights there to receive fluids due to kidney failure. A vet called and updated me in the morning and evening. They kept me filled in on where I was at with my bill, so there were no surprises. I even got to visit and spend some time with her while she was there. I thought my bill was a very fair price considering she spent almost 4 full days there. So thank you everyone at VCA for taking care of my girl!
Wednesday we took our cat, Tobi, in the ER due to not eating and urination issues. We were told it would be a 4-6hr wait initially, however we got a call about 1hr 30 mins of wait. We were told about the prognosis and initial down payment fee of $2000. We are very blessed and privileged to have friends who love Tobi and willing to help us make the payment. They were very good about letting us know were the ranges were for the rest of the payment about $500-$1000 more after hospitalization is complete. We gave the decision to go ahead of hospitalizing him. I was balling my eyes out due to a passing of a previous cat at another VCA center, so the trauma of it all came back to me. The technician who took us in was super kind and amazing and really comforted me that Tobi was going to be okay. I feel bad for not remembering her name, She is half- Puerto Rican, half Irish with a half filipino brother, and she was literally the only one keeping me sane that night lol. The next morning we were given an update on him and they told us that he was eating again, which literally was so comforting because our cat is a fiend for food. They also gave us an afternoon update as well. We got permission to visit, but he was going to be hooked up to the IVs and catheters and we felt that it would be easier on him and staff to just settle for pictures. In the picture they took, we noticed that the made a little gauze bow on him and it was just so precious! The next day, we were able to take him home. We were told that the procedure would finish around 2pm, so we called around 3pm and told that he was already urinating. I wasn’t sure if we had to call for pick up or if we would be called for pick up, which would of been at 8pm. We called around 9pm to see if we could pick him, which we did. We were shocked that we only had to pay $75 more after down payment which we were so relieved of. Tobi is doing amazing and has been so cuddly since he has been home and we are so thankful and satisfied with the care he needed. Things to note when deciding: - All ER emergencies are expensive, but we believe this one is the cheaper ones for Initial check ups in the area. - We also called a lot for updates. Each time they were very accommodating even though we may have been a bit too much lol - My partner was the one to receive the updates, so that’s why I wasn’t sure if we needed to call or they called us for pick up. So we waited a bit for call. - We we’re given permission to visit, but wasn’t told until last minute that it may be a bit of a hassle for both Tobi who had a treatment around the time we were going to visit and the staff. Me and my partner are very patient and understanding, but it was a little bummer about knowing that last minute. - Overall, amazing staff and a very relieved cat.
My dog ate a grape tonight and multiple emergency vets told me to take him in. The staff here was absolutely amazing. They were so kind to my dog and performed what they needed to immediately so I didn’t have to worry about him. I would definitely come back. Thank you so much for helping Finn
This morning or late last night our fur baby passed away. I had contacted them yesterday about pricing for euthanization and cremation. Right away they told us our options and gave us pricings. They were so much more affordable for us than the other place we were going to take her. I love that with the package we got, we get a complimentary urn with our cats ashes and her paw print, and I'm getting a pendant so she will always be with me. Allie was the one we delt with today when we brought our baby in to have her cremated. She was very sympathetic and she got us paw print before they sent her to be cremated. She also got my husband and I some of her fur. She will be dearly missed and I want to thank VCA for being so sympathetic with us. We can't wait to get our baby girls ashes and other stuff.
Words can’t express how amazing this place and their staff are. We had to make a very tough decision to put our 15yr old furry loved one down. The staff at the VCA were a blessing to our family through the entire process. They made us feel so at peace throughout the entire process. They were so caring, informative, and sincere. My family are truly grateful to have had your support and can’t thank you enough. We also received your beautiful card and are so very grateful for your kind words and condolences. You made such an impact with your service and support. Thank you so much VCA!
About 2 weeks ago we brought our guinea pig Ivan in because he had stopped eating. He required a hospital stay and surgery. The doctors and staff were so good to him and helpful to us, both during his stay and after his release. I'm happy to share that he's improving each day. Tonight he enjoyed a bit of exercise and the veggie plate that came afterwards. Thank you again! We highly recommend the VCA.
They were really nice and patient with me eventhough I was a bit annoying from panic. My dog Lady Fluff had hypocalcemia/Eclampsia after feeding her 6 pups and when I got there they took her from my arms and right to the back for treatment. She came back to the room with me in just a few hrs she was wagging her tail and walking again. Thank god for this place... My dog wouldn't be here without them. I carried her in a few hrs later she walked out on her own. She's having a hard time not being able to feed her pups but other than that she's almost 100% again. I would give them 10 stars if I could... Thanks again for the help.
We brought our 9 month old puppy to VCA this past week after he was vomiting blood. We had never been there before, but my husband selected it after calling several emergency vets with 3+ hour wait times and VCA could get us in sooner. The admin AND vet staff were friendly, professional, and helpful in answering our questions. Fortunately, our situation turned out not to be too severe, but we were also pleasantly surprised that the visit and treatment were much less expensive than we had anticipated - we felt the rates were very fair. Thank you for your help in a stressful time!
A few months back we had our sweet boy, Jameson, admitted for what ended up being a case of gi stasis. He stayed 2 nights and was returned to us fully recovered. I just wanted to take a min to thank the staff that cared for our bun. They were great at communicating updates and did what they could to help him recover. I think we would of had a very different outcome with out their dedication. I am happy to report, Jameson is doing great!
I took my 3 year old Guinea pig here. He was not eating/lethargic. The vet I saw male told me I have a pretty sick Guinea pig and not sure if he would make it the next day. The vet said he would euthanize. I asked what is wrong with him. He didn’t have a direct answer or couldn’t even give me an answer. I took my Guinea pig to my vet clinic I work at. One of the doctors wanted to take it day by day to see how he does. I did liquid vitamin c, critical care etc. he still wanted to eat. Long story short it was only his back molars that needed a trimming. I do not recommend going there in the future. No knowledgeable at all. I’m so thankful I did not euthanize and I had faith.
