All of the staff is extremely helpful and kind. I've been going here for at least 15 years and they have done a great job of helping me with chronic pain. I strongly recommend this Pain Relief Center. They have 2 other locations if E. Lake Mead Blvd is not near you.
Friendly staff! Dr. Velazquez and Dr. Quereshimay have spelled wrongare both wonderful, easy to talk to, great at their careers!! Never any issues always smiles!
Had Dr. Velazquez for years and loved how I was treated there. I'm a roaming bagpiper. Went back to my roots in the Blue Ridge Smokey Mountains of Georgia for a while. Also being an ex professional factory motocross, hare scrambles and observed trials my body is, at 64, paying the piper. I've had 8 back surgeries , 5 heart .stintsprocedures
The staff is rude and unapologetic when they are called out. If you notify the Doctor’s they dont seem to care how their patients are being treated. It is a money mill. They try to force you to take all these injections which only increases the pain and just moves it to another spot. Beware its all about the money that goes in their pockets. They harass you to do all these procedures so they can get paid royally. They start off nice then their true colors come shining through. Smh They are no different than common drug pushers. The owner needs to check his staff, HIS reputation is being tarnished. Valesquez is a wonderful doctor who deeply cares about his patients, but his staff is trying to ruin his good name. I hope he ipens his eyes. God is watching!
AVOID!! A little background first--I'm a chronic pain patient and have been to many doctors over the years. My original problem started with an extreme form of Scheuermann's Disease that required surgery back in 2010. Since then, I've had to have two more surgeries to fix some of the original hardware that was used in my back and add more to complete the bandaid fix. I have lived with an extreme amount of pain since I had my very first operation. As of right now, no doctor has been able to find a solution that fixes the problem. So, the best I can do right now is manage the pain and try to live a normal life. Recently, due to no longer being able to work, I began fighting my case for disability. Unfortunately, I also lost my insurance and now rely on Medicaid. My current pain management doctor is not covered. Fast forward a bit--After having done a little research and checking to make sure Dr. Luis Velazquez was covered, I decided I would see him. Keeping in mind, my current pain management doctor has been treating me for the last 6 years, this is a big move for me. Although it's always a hassle seeing a new doctor and having to fill out their paperwork, I genuinely was excited for my consultation today. Prior to my appointment today, I had called the office for several different items, including wanting to transfer my medical records over from my current pain management doctor and how to go about doing that. I also called to ask if I could come into the office ahead of time to pick up the new patient paperwork, as the link for it doesn't work on their website. I was able to get the paperwork yesterday and spent about an hour filling it out, as I have a lot of medical history to have to provide. When I arrived in the office today, the rude lady at the front counter informed me that I needed a "release" from my current pain management doctor before they would see me. When I explained to her that I didn't have this "release" because I was only seeing Dr. Velazquez for a consultation today and wanted to make sure he was the right doctor for me, she made it clear it was not her problem and there was nothing she could do. When I mentioned having called several times, including to make my appointment, and even came into the office yesterday to get the paperwork, she told me I didn't disclose I was already seeing a pain management doctor. ARE YOU KIDDING ME?! I mentioned this to them during every prior conversation I had had with this team. Moving on to the next doctor... Hope the office staff is a little better.
Dr Velasquez and staff truly care about us patients. I was nervous about my procedure,I called to cancel I was scared an uncertain. A few minutes later I got a call from one of the ladies in the office asking me if I could please hold on a second when Dr. V got on the phone and put my mind to rest answering my questions for a second time plus others I came up with. My procedure went without any problems, feeling much better thank you Dr Velasquez.
Dr. Velazquez gave me hope that I may be pain free in the near future. He explained future treatments if physical therapy doesn't work. He understood when I told him I will not take narcotic pain meds. The only reason I didn't give him 5 stars was because the bathroom in their office was filthy and although his staff was friendly, they got my pharmacy wrong. When I called, I felt like I was the blame for that by her tone of voice. Other than that I would recommend him!
So Glad I stayed with Dr.V not only has he helped immensely with my lower/ mid back pain but I have been having issues with my knees I am deathly afraid of needles to the point I was shaking and felt like my heart would pop out of my chest but he came in the room and made me feel so much more relaxed about the whole procedure it wasn’t even close to as bad as I thought it would be! Thank you Dr. V!
Dr. Velásquez and his staff are the worst. I clearly told them what I am allergic to and they still attempted to continue with the procedure with the injections I am allergic to. Not only that but they had the nerve to ask me “how do you know your allergic to that?” In a taunting tone. Worst experience ever!
Dr Velazquez really does take his time and is always kind. The staff is supportive and courteous. Thank you, all! I am finally pain-free!
