Venue at The Bakery Building

Once getting the contract I realized there were several aspects that I was not made aware of upfront. I was fine with this but disappointed because I really wanted to have it there. When calling to cancel my tentative reservation date I gave some general feedback that I would have liked to know earlier on in the general process of things that would add on to my bill, but Carolyn got very defensive. She seemed to think I was angry and telling her she was doing her job wrong which turned into a heated conversation. I don't recommend doing business here with her.

I was there helping to feed people after the tornado hit Hattiesburg and Petal, Mississippi in January 2017 but this building is awesome for all sorts of events. It is large and old and my husband remembers working there as a young man when it was Smiths bread back in the 70's.

Wow!!! What a jewel in the heart of downtown Hattiesburg! My wedding reception was held here. It was an evening wedding in December. The setting and location were perfect during that time of year. The entire downtown area was decorated for Christmas so there were lights strung up everywhere! It was gorgeous just driving up to the event. The building speaks for itself. The integrity of the industrial era is carried out so well in this historic building. The huge space and vaulted light shaft spanning the entire length of the space was breathtaking. We truly didn't have to bring in many decorations. The raw historic brick, historic wood flooring, and massive exposed metal trusses bring the space to life!! I wouldn't change anything about that night!! Thankful that this kind of space is available in Mississippi!
