When in Canton....Vespucci's Italian Kitchen is located right off Canton Rd down the street from Kell High School. There is a Planet Smoothie and Ray's Donut in the same little plaza along with Waffle House. You can't miss this little Italian eatery. With baseball and basketball events in the area, the restaurant was busy. However our party was seated immediately. We were helped immediately though. We were talking and reviewing the menu when we noticed a waiter had not been to our table. It had been about 15 minutes since we were seated. I normally would leave at this point and eat elsewhere. I was overruled. Hostess stand was notified we hadn't been helped yet. A waiter came over a few minutes later to apologize and begin taking orders. An appetizer of garlic bread with marinara sauce was quickly brought out along with our drinks. Sweet tea wasn't Southern sweet tea but good. Yes I love my sweet tea if you've read my reviews. Ordered a bottle of rose as it had been a long week. Rose was perfect after long day basketball. The side salads came out with the appetizers. We ordered the calamari and fried ravioli. The calamari was cooked perfectly. It was gone in a flash. I heard the fried ravioli was good. I didn't get to try it. Darn kids! Lol! Side salads were fresh and just right amount dressing. Next the entrees, Greek salad with grilled chicken, NY strip steak, lasagna and spaghetti with meatballs. I was asked if I wanted a small or large salad. I said small with grilled chicken. What I received was basically a side salad with almost 2/3 a sliced chicken breast on top. Be mindful if you order a salad. It was good but needed more salad with my chicken. Lol. I wasn't super hungry after waiting so size of salad was fine. Son loved the lasagna in his personal container. There was nothing left. He said it was delicious. His friend enjoyed the spaghetti with meatballs. He only ate half as he was full. My son's dad enjoyed his NY strip steak. It was cooked to order and well seasoned. No steak sauce required. Mashed potatoes and Italian veggies were good as well. Coffee and a little something sweet. We got the Sea salt caramel cake and the chocolate mousse layer cake. Let me say I am not a sweet and salty kind of person. I am just not a fan. However, I didn't taste the salt and this cake just melts in your mouth. It was delicious. Gotta try it. Just right amount of caramel. Amazing! I am a chocolate person and the chocolate mousse cake was delicious as well. Think like Hersey semi sweet for the sweet level. I enjoyed that one as well. I heard the coffee was good. I was still sipping the Rose. So all in all the food and drinks were really good. The staff was friendly and informative of the menu. We had nice booth inside with plenty space to eat and enjoy our time. The waiting and not having a wait staff assigned and there were bigger parties rolling in just left a bad taste for me. Couple that with a long day of basketball and just doesn't sit well. I was ready to destress and enjoy a good meal. I might go back but wait a bit or less busy day. Our waiter apologized which was appreciated. I would have thought the manager would have come by to say Hi heard about the mishap sorry to hear that and hope everything got back on track and you had a good experience
The food was excellent. The service was very good and very helpful on a food recommendation for my wife. Definitely recommend you try them out.Food: 5/5
My wife has written by this restaurant many times and tonight she decided well it's just going to dinner there. I'm very glad that she suggested it. The restaurant is very plain and inviting nicely appointed and very nice outdoor patio. Fully stocked bar also available. That sounds of interviewer greeted and seated after a few minutes our server Matt came and got her appetizer. Matt provided great service for the entire meal and definitely next time will try to sit in his station but he will see works at the bar. Her appetizer came we had got the calamari was very good I did ask for a side of marinara instead and it was quickly brought out. My wife got chicken Milano and I got the house this idea first off we had two excellent Chris cold Caesar salad. Dressing was good for a slightly salty as his name with anchovies so I don't know why some people here have said that it was salty because that shelf is very salty. So the sound is perfect. Hot fresh bread rolls with marinara sauce was it excellent accompaniment to the salad. Soon or entrees arrived her chicken Milano was steaming when it was delivered as was my lasagna both freshly made Deming hot. Her chicken water was light very tasteful grilled chicken not overly cooked the bow tie pasta was perfect. My lasagna was very flavorful very cheesy lots of meat and sausage and was a very good portion as a matter of fact we both took home some to enjoy for tomorrow's lunch. So this is our first visit certainly will not be our last good food good service good surroundings . The only drawback is it's off the beaten path so come on down Canton road from 92 to shallowford road and enjoy this hidden Italian gen
Great Italian spot. The calamari was on point. Sabrina, our server was very nice as well.
Vespucci Salad with grilled chicken and bread sticks. Perfectly cooked and more than enough for two meals. Will definitely dine in again.
Just left Vespucci's. We had a large group of people...like 20 people. They were so accomodating. We came to see one of our friends, John, who works their as well. Be sure to ask for him. Even the owner came out and took a pic of all of us. He was so nice....it was like he invited us into his home. More importantly, the food was amazing!!! They had a spicy pasta dish that I need way more of. I definitely recommend this spot. It was my very first time there and I will be back very soon. Kid-friendliness: Just an overall friendly environment. My 7-year old loved it.
Decided to try a new spot for date night and very glad we stopped here! Quiet, intimate atmosphere, fantastic service thanks Jesse!, strong drinks, and some truly delicious food. I got the chicken parm, which was very good, but the star was my wife's chicken fettuccine Alfredo. Absolutely amazing. Calamari was very good as well, with a kick of spiciness that served it well. We will definitely be returning here in the future.
I manage an Italian restaurant so I wanted to try this place. My order was incorrect, but my server corrected it. I was specific on my order, but he said he assumed I wanted my pasta a certain way. I felt like he avoided our table due to the mistake, but I was not sure. As a manager I was a little disappointed at the service. The Alfredo sauce taste more like a cream and not homemade. The spicy meatballs and sauce was not what I expected. My first time here. I think I’d come for drinks vs food. I think the music is great though. As we left there was live music. I just have higher expectations for my first visit and as a manager. Clean place and great atmosphere.
Atmosphere was relaxing. Friendly staff. Calzone was very good. Food was served nice and hot. Unfortunately, the chicken used in the Chicken Parmesan was not made fresh but pre-battered and most likely frozen. However, for the price and service, I will likely go back.Food: 3/5
Salads were basically rabbit food with a few tiny pieces of tomato and no other ingredients. Definitely no romaine lettuce, red onion, cucumbers or carrots as described on menu. Pizza was very average with undercooked crust. Medium pepperoni pizza, 2 side salads and two soft drinks $50 with tip. Very disappointing.
