The staff are so amazing and efficient! Bright, clean and modern offices and equipment! My dental hygienist is ALWAYS educating me on how best to care for my teeth, and Rolando is always a joy! I highly recommend them all to you and the location is great!
I’ve been going to this dental practice for many years, and I’m still very pleased with the personalized & attentive service that I get as a patient. Because it is a small practice, all the staff truly care about the patients and strive to do whatever they can to consistently give patients the best customer service.
Dr. Martinez and staff quickly and efficiently resolved my dental crisis. Couldn't feel luckier to have such compassionate professional care.
The staff at Victorian Village Dental Care is just fantastic. I rarely have to wait, they are always polite and when I'm feeling anxious they are very informative and calming. Dr. Martinez is an excellent dentist, taking care of his patients and also walking me through each step of the process which I appreciate. I would highly recommend Victorian Village Dental Care.
Dr. Martinez and his staff are incredibly friendly and accommodating. Love this practice.
If I could give them zero stars I would, terrible customer service, the rudest receptionist, how dare you accuse me of no showing, when your office emailed me stating the appointment was scheduled by accident. And then your receptionist has the worst attitude, I’ve received better customer service at McDonald’s. A ten minute phone conversation accusing me of no showing , then telling me they don’t accept my insurance anymore. Kick rocks, your office is a joke, your receptionist is a joke, I’m glad I’ll never step foot in your facility again. Thank you for absolutely nothing. 0/5 stars
Don't go to this dentist. Don't get scammed by dental work you don't need or extra fees. I relocated from out of state and chose this dentist because of the reviews & proximity to me. He was nice. My first visit, they did x-rays. I mentioned I had a filling that shifted. Dr. Martinez stated I had 3 cavities that needed to be filled. This surprised me since my prior 6 mo visit at my old dentist had been fine. My next visit I had only the filling that shifted done since that tooth caused sensitivity. The day after, I had more pain than before my visit & felt a sharp edge on my tooth that wasn't there before. I called the office. They said that pain in area was normal. I had to travel the next week but still had a lot of pain & so called again when I returned home. They saw me for an "emergency" visit where Dr. Martinez said I chipped my tooth. I told him he chipped it since the pain originated from the day he did the filling on my tooth. He said "No honey, I didn't". I have never chipped a tooth in my life and the issue originated after Dr Martinez did my filling. It was interesting that it was on the same side of mouth he worked on. He then filed it down since there was a sharp edge. While filing it, he proceeded to hit 2 other teeth with the drill. I'm confident that's how he chipped the tooth in the first place. I did not get a new filling on that tooth and never returned to Victorian Village Dental. I paid over $100 for those 3 visits. I then called a new dentist, 4th St Dental Studio also in my neighborhood. I explained my experience/situation. They did a new patient visit w/x-rays free of charge, did not identify any cavities that needed filling except for the one that Victorian Village Dental had chipped. @4th St Dental Studio, Dr. Wood listened to my concerns & stated he takes a conservative approach to dental care. I stated I had dental anxiety and he prescribed a Rx sedative for the visit to fix the chipped tooth because he wanted me to be comfortable. In contrast at Victorian Village, I mentioned this to Dr Martinez & put it in my new patient paperwork. He didn't offer a Rx until I requested it. This was after I suffered through my first filling & had to return for the chipped tooth. Ironically, I didn't fill that Rx because I never returned to Victorian Village Dental. I was not planning to write a review but I received a call from Victorian Village Dental @ end of Dec 2021, informing me I had a balance. This was odd since I paid every balance during my 3 visits and hadn't returned after the chipped tooth fiasco. I asked what it was for. Apparently, there are "extra fees" that Dr Martinez charges for and insurance doesn't cover, including a $25 FEE TO WRITE A PRESCRIPTION!! What DOCTOR CHARGES FEES TO WRITE A Rx for a patient with dental anxiety? I requested a detailed invoice for all of the charges because I mentioned I was going to file a complaint with my insurance. It's been almost 2 weeks. I haven't received anything. Also to put into context, @4th St Dental Studio, I have only paid $40 for the chipped filling for the 3 visits I had. Save your money, don't get scammed by extra fees or dental work you don't need. Don't go to Victorian Village Dental. Go to 4th St Dental Studio instead.
I've been with Victorian Village Dental Care for years. Dr. Martinez and his staff have always been professional and friendly. Their services have been exceptional, timely, and affordable. My October 13th visit was no exception.
After a couple of bad experiences, I spent most of my life actively afraid of going to the dentist, and my teeth paid the price. That finally changed once I found Dr. Martinez and the staff at VV Dental. On my first visit, they didn't give me a hard time for how long it had been since I had a cleaning something past dentists shamed me for. They took care of the work I needed with a minimum of pain and fuss, and they were there when I needed an emergency visit for a broken tooth. Plus they're all just super nice people. And now that I'm in the habit of twice-yearly cleanings, I appreciate their efforts to maintain the practice safely amid the pandemic. Can't say enough good things.
I was a patient of Dr Martinez’s years ago and regularly still think about my terrible experience. The reviews are great online, so I felt comfortable visiting a new doctor the first time since moving away from my childhood dentist. I went once for a cleaning. During my exam, the doctor listed off almost every single tooth to the hygienist because it needed to be “watched” for cavities that are starting. I was in shock and visibly pretty upset with the apparent condition of my teeth. I have a gold crown that was about 10 years old at the time; Dr. says it needs replaced because that’s the lifespan of a gold crown. Weird - when it was installed the dentist said it would be good for life if I took care of the area. Three other dentists I’ve since seen confirmed they are good for life with proper care, and mine is in great condition now 15 years old. Dr. then starts asking how much I grind my teeth and convinces me they have been ground to oblivion. He starts pointing out nervous habits while I’m in the chair. I’ve just been told almost every tooth has a cavity and now I have a teeth grinding problem that was never brought up prior - I’m going to be exhibiting some nervousness that I don’t need pointed out by someone I just met. I’ve seen three other dentists since and none have tried to assert I grind my teeth. So in short, during my first and only visit, I was told I have about 25 cavities forming, I need a gold crown replaced, and I need a $500 night mouth guard. Seems reasonable when I haven’t had a cavity from the dentists I’ve seen since. My boyfriend had a similar experience here. They will say anything to get more money. Would never recommend. Just remembered some other highlights. He asked if I suck my thumb and implied I was lying about my response of no...? I also had a teeny chip in my front tooth from hitting it with a fork while eating, which is already embarrassing enough, but he thought I was lying about that as well and I was actually trying to open beer bottles. It wasn’t a casual comment, he was persistent that I was lying and made it clear. Super uncomfortable all around. Which is why I’m still thinking about it and compelled to write a review five years later. Just got back from a new dentist appt today and can’t stop contrasting the experiences.
