This is a nice little neighborhood market. If you understand that it is just the basic needs in the market. You will find great prices and a great staff. I would recommend this shop for anyone in this neighborhood.
Good for the north Portland the garden is great too . Village Market is in walking distance from the apartment. Tamarack lots of seniors shop at the market.
Fantastic local market making this neighborhood walkable! I love the convenience of being able to pop in while walking my dog or daughter to the park. Village Market has great snack and everyday essentials in a convenient location for this residential community. Really glad to have them here; they are always worth a visit.
Great little neighborhood store, I am so happy that it's close and nearby to where I live, wonderful produce and great for drinks and quick snacks. They have an awesome programs and card for those who use snap that gets you 5 dollars of free produce for every 20 dollars you spend at the store which goes a long way. Only reason I give this store a 4 instead of a 5 is prices that are often inaccurate from the ad tag on the products and what is charged at the register or not everything has a price listed, once this place has all that accurately set up and communicated, I would definitely update my review to 5 stars.
This place is amazing the fruit especially the berries are better than safeway, Albertsons ect the blackberries were so big and juicy. The prices are reasonable the employees are great. They forgot to ring up a pint of ice cream when it wasn't on the receipt I went bk and paid for it and they thanked me like 5 times. They are so kind. They have double up food bucks on produce which is great and they still have free fruit for kids! So glad this is my nieghborhoo market!! Had no idea it was affiliated with Janis youth though and that makes me love it more!!
A great little corner market reminiscent of those produce markets located in the middle of a business block. Village Market offers fresh produce, a large selection of non-alcoholic beverages, a frozen food section and other standard shelf type grocery items. They have begun to provide hot prepared breakfast sandwiches and wraps, lunch time hot pizza. All in all, a really good corner market with a friendly staff.
This is the kind of store where all should be like as far as customer service, availability, convenience, locality and everything else in the book. I would recommend the store for anybody in the neighborhood as well as any Travelers stopping in for something to eat. Has all your natural foods in here as well as all other kinds of foods for those that like to cook. Highly recommended.
I have seen a few comments on here saying the employees are not nice , That’s so UnTrue I live in neighborhood And I’m very disabled They are always the nicest to me , My service dog is with me sometimes, i’ve never had anyone be rude at all , one day a little girl was short a little change the employee put in the money, another time a child came in to get her mom medication she had migraine I guess, employee was super nice seem to know all her customers names child also picked up a treat and it looked like the parent only gave child enough for maybe medication child was short a few dollars the employee tried to pay but a customer that was not related insisted on paying child went outside came back with cash and tried to give gentleman the cash back he refused, there are good caring people in this neighborhood and the employees are very very friendly above n beyond! and prices are great especially for fresh fruit and vegetables, other items are priced about what any small corner market! but convince is so important, your home 2 blocks from the village market you making dinner you need half gallon milk & pound of butter, run over or send child or go 5 miles to grocery store My choice is village market 100%
Use the loyalty points system and the produce is a steal. Got GOOD apples for about $1 per pound and still only paid a couple cents because I had loyalty points left to knock $5 off. Other stuff is typical corner store prices, though. Liked the fact they had goat and oxtails on stock.
Has all of the essentials, but not a great selection of fresh meat. Everything here is pretty much frozen. However, the produce selection is solid if you were thinking about picking something up for dinner/brunch. No beer or wine, though.
