Story

Here at VA Arts, its all about the sound. We have recently upgraded to the API 1608, an all analog recording/mixing console with fader automation. This upgrade brings back the analog warmth we all know and love and missed living in this digital music world! That, coupled with our newly re-capped and re-lapped 24 track 2" tape machine, you will be in analog HEAVEN!

Using our wide selection of outboard gear from Avalon, API, Urei, Valley People, BAE, Empirical Labs, Lexicon and many more, you can mix your whole record without it ever touching a computer! Like the FOO-FIGHTERS!

But if computers are what youre looking for, we got those too! Running Nuendo5.5/Pro-Tools 7/Logic Pro 7/Digital Performer 5, we've got the DAW you need! We also have the Waves Gold Bundle and Universal Audio line of plug-ins! And again with the API 1608 feeding our top of the line Antelope Audio A/D-D/A converters the sound of the API shines through marvelously!

"But what about the microphones?" You might be wondering.. Well we've got a BEAUTIFUL mic collection filled with the best VINTAGE and NEWER mics from Neuman(u-87x2, u-64) AKG(c-12, 414) Sennheiser(421x5, 441x2) Royer(121x2) and Beyer, just to name a few!

We also have a few backline items including the Baldwin Baby Grand(Always in tune!), Yamaha Custom Birch drums(with an array of snares and cymbals), We also carry a few guitar amps including the Orange Tiny Terror and a few others, but if we dont have it, its usually just a phone call away so just ask! We also have an 88 weighted key Yamaha CP-33 running a Motif X-Rack hardware Synth, among other soft synths for strings and other voices!

Usually after your project is over, its time to MASTER the record! We offer that too! Using Mastering Grade converters from LYNX (Hilo) and our selection of Hardware Compressors and the best digital plugins, we can make your record compete with any other songs played on the radio!

In addition to working with ALL TYPES of music (Hip Hop to Bluegrass to Rock N Roll to Polka!) We also offer many other services such as Tape/Vinyl to CD transfers, Voice-Over, Sound for picture, CD/DVD Replication, and even Drum Lessons!
