It was good, but not $100 good for two people. Food was fine. The thing that brought the experience down was the vibe of the restaurant. Overall, it just seems outdated and kind of run down. The table was uncomfortably small for two people. Some of the art was cool, and some of it made you feel like you were in a hospital waiting room we are in our late 20s- there was no one there our age or younger on a Friday night. I don’t see us ever going back. Food details below: We each got a different pasta as entree and we got the special appetizer of raw tuna with cucumber relish and it was good. Cocktails were the best thing we had- strong and delicious. I got High Aces and my husband got the Volare Manhattan. The bread and olive oil they give you when you’re sat are nothing to brag about.
Nice Italian restaurant with live music and good food. My wife had the pasta special with short ribs and I had their bourbon glazed steak. The steak was a great cut of meat and was cooked to perfection. The glaze was a little sweet for my taste but unique nonetheless. My wife’s pasta was amazing! We also split a caprese salad which was fresh and perfectly sized for two.
It was a great experience, incredible menu and waiters were kind and helpful as the restaurant offer a wide variety of dishes. Location is good and convenient many options near by. we would say this is the best Italian restaurant in Louisville area
Everything about this restaurant provides an exquisite dining experience. Eli was an amazing host to our table and was personable and knowledgeable. The atmosphere was coY and casual provising a relaxing dinner dining experience we went through three courses in 2.5 hours. It was very relaxed and we were not rushed to clear out. The food was amazing and priced just right. Do not miss this excellent Louisville gem!!
Menu was extensive and well thought out. Food was fresh and extremely flavorful, from apps to salads, to main courses. Service was lacking from late food, missing parts of the order, and slow drinks. Other than service, would highly recommend.Dine in: YesCurbside pickup: Yes
Our family went to Volare for our Grandmothers birthday, It was one of the most wonderful dining experiences I've ever had. The staff was friendly and helpful. Wine selection was great! Calamari and Bruschetta were delicious and the steak with the Makers Mark glaze was one of the best steaks I've ever had!! Will definitely be back!!
If you are spending $130 for two people on the food and you are made to sit on a wobbly, small table, it's not good. The bruschetta appetizer was good and maybe the Italian ones, the bread is soft. I've tasted bruschetta before and the bread is a bit more toasted. It tasted good with goat cheese on it. Moving on, ordered from the special menu. The steak that I ordered was not medium done. It was more red than it should be. The sauce on the side was just butter with no real flavor to it. Overall I'd give the steak a 2.5 star. Also ordered seafood spaghetti some Italian name, I don't remember and it tasted much better than steak. I believe if you want to taste special expensive Italian food on a rare occasion, you can come here. Definitely not cheap.
We celebrated my fiancee birthday here and it was great. The service was a bit slow at the beginning and our table was a bit tiny in a very tight corner. Our server was very kind and spoke to his manager to change our table to a bigger one. Overall great experience with delicious food and wine. We also got dessert on the house which was one of the best tiramisu I had in Louisville. I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for authentic Italian restaurant.
Perfect restaurant for our 15th anniversary! Complimentary valet was a welcome luxury for a cold rainy night on Frankfort Ave. Romantic place, good music, excellent food, top notch service. Gary was wonderful.
Le Moo is better. Sorry. The ambience and service was really good. It’s the food and drinks that fell super flat for me! It was my first time and I had high expectations of this place. The garlic olive oil was my favorite part. I ordered the Bianca Bolognese. It was okay. The drinks were horrible. I don’t think I would come back.
