I have banked here, regardless of the numerous bank name changes, for over 50 years. But currently, I avoid having to go inside. The service is too slow. The tellers are judgmental and righteous. It used to be they knew me when I came through the door. Now it's all about proving who I am with 5 pieces of ID. I dont understand having to deposit a check before I can have it show as a withdraw on my account for cash. Especially when your system is so slow and requires so many checks and balances to operate. 20 minutes or more to cash a check is not acceptable. Not even sitting in my car in the drive through. The most confusing part, the tellers are seldom busy with more than 2 customer's maximum In the entire bank, yet they are so busy when I walk in they make me wait while they complete something before helping me. And then there the $3 service charge issue, which I continually get charged even though I fixed the balance months ago. Every month its deducted and I have to call the branch office as the main office never returns my call as the system states they will. It takes 2 days to reverse a service charge that shouldn't be there anyway. I have pulled my saving funds. If not for the convenience of the ATM, and a direct deposit I need to move....I should have left long ago. But old habits are hard to believe can become so broken.
I own small retail stores in Oregon20yrsI have been with wafed for the last 7.Wafed on Wallace rd. in Salem.The manager and staff are completely dedicated to customer satisfaction and utilizing available services and products to best serve individual needs.Something many other banks and credit unions don’t. I especially want to thank Samantha,branch manager,for her individual hard work to help me to apply,secure and receive the PPP loan for my businesses.As most have heard,getting this loan for a business small as mine was very difficult.But thanks to Samantha and her team getting thru these hard times is much more hopeful.
