Little disappointed after my last visit. Was confirmed to play on the pretty decent court 2, and then a couple hours before my reservation was moved to court 7 for no apparent reason. Court 7 was not in playable condition so we moved to the less bad, court 6. No one ended up playing on court 2 so we moved there mid match. Also....$22 to reserve a court is pretty steep considering the condition of many of the courts and the average income of residents in the surrounding neighborhoods. No surprise the courts are often a ghost town.
There has been lots of renovations over the years. The Park is beautiful and has a family outing atmosphere.
Im so looking forward to a youth program at Washington Park. This park is prime for community youth to grow up having an opportunity to learn tennis. Who knows, one day we will have yet another tennis hero come out of Washington Park. Lets go City of Atlanta!
Nice family park
Washington was sub-par to okay. Three stars is generous. It happened to be very crowded with a local softball game and other groups enjoying the space at the same time as my groups celebrations. The brick step/stair structure was somewhat dangerous, exaggerated by the lack of a railing. It was however clean and kempt.
Coach Wink is the reason I started playing tennis over 20 years again and continues to introduce and engage lifetime players. He is a fantastic coach and facility purveyor with impeccable customer service. Washington Park is a gem!
Nice facility with 9 well maintained courts. There are stadium style seats and picnic tables. Super nice staff as well.
My daughter is taking tennis lessons. She started and everyone is so nice and helpful. I think I'm going to take lessons too.
