I have been a customer of Ishmael Rodriguez for over 25 years and I can highly recommend him. He provides an excellent, affordable men's haircut. The place isn't fancy--it is on the basement level of a DC office building that houses law firms, Victoria Secret, and other businesses --but it is great for a haircut, and some conversation about politics and baseball, and catching up on Spanish-languuage news broadcasts. It is also right off the Farragut North metro stop.

If you need a quick hair cut, I would recommend this place. But they aren't very talkative at all. Most silent hair cut I've had in my entire life. And you have to have cash. No credit or debit cards at this place - wish that would have been posted somewhere or told to me verbally before I sat down. But they told me there is an ATM in the lobby upstairs, which charges a $5.50 fee.

They are old fashioned in their style and how they interact with people. Couple of the guys are very nice but there is one buffon who is always boasting about how he cut the hair of Jimmy Carter. FYI his hair was awful.

Excellent barber shop. I've been going to Sean for years and have never had a bad haircut. Simple and perfect.

Consistently get good haircuts and the barbers know who likes to chat and who doesn't. I still go here even though I work in another part of town.
