Highly recommend Wedge. These guys are super friendly, know their stuff and Paul, the service manager was fantastic keeping me in the loop every step of the way. They got my 74 all up and running perfectly at a very reasonable cost. If you have a classic VW. This is the place to go!Services: Auto battery maintenance
I was looking for a rather obscure part for a very early VW carburetor. I looked on the internet and made some calls locally. I was referred to Wedge. I called and they took the time to see if they might have the part I needed. He informed me that they did indeed have it. I drove from Tempe to central Phoenix to pick it up. They had the part sitting there waiting for me. This was my first occasion to deal with them and as a business owner myself I can tell you I was impressed. Old school polite, efficient and cordial.
They worked on my 64 bus. I dropped it off and worked with Paul. They did what they said they were going to do in the price was reasonable. I would not hesitate to work with them again.
This place is awesome. I've had some work done on my daughters bug at other places with mediocre results. I finally took it to Wedge Vee Dub and they took care of everything. There were lots of little things that have been causing problems from brakes, tail lights, fuel filter to the gas gauge not working. They did it all. It starts and runs incredible now. So happy we found these guys. You won't be disappointed when you get your bug back from them.
Took our "new" 1974 VW Super Beetle to Wedge Vee Dubs after buying it off Craigslist in Fresno without even having seen it. It ran but wasn't starting consistently. It has been garage kept for probably 5-10 years. Anyhow Paul at Wedge Vee Dubs was great and got it starting good and running smoother. Pic is my wife whose car this belongs: 20-year surprise anniversary gift from me.
We were passing through and broke down. Paul was able to help us out and get us back on the road. Both Paul's were very helpful and kind!Service: General repairs & maintenance
I took my 1983 Vanagon to Wedge Veedub last month for an engine coolant leak. Paul and crew let me know that it was a cylinder head gasket leaking to no surprise to me. Paul was very informative about the way they repair this issue on the wasserboxer engine. Paul gave me some time to go over other options that I was looking to do to fix the engine. There was no pressure to make the decision quickly. I went with Wedge's recommendation on the repair. Paul kept me informed with each step of the repair. After the repair was finished, my Vangaon ran better than it ever had before. There one small issue after this extensive repair was done, but the Guys at Wedge Veeddub took care of right away. Great shop and great people. I would highly recommend them for all new and classic Volkwagon repairs.
Not happy at all with their service and prices ?? Was recommended by another VW mechanic. Yes my 1984 VW Vanagon will take $1700 to change the tank and the fuel system related to it. This is in addition to the $600 plus I paid for diagnostics and to change a couple of small items related to temperature. Please RESPECT YOUR CLIENTS INTELLIGENCE. This is ridiculous. Arrogance doesn't pay. You are not the only ones in the market... this behavior is NOT sustainable to you and I advise you to revise your behavior towards clients.NEVERE AGAIN!!! I must say I dealt with Ray in front desk and he was very kind
I recently got my 1970 vw Bug back from Wedge Vee dub. It broke my heart because my car didn't make the 35 miles to my house. Heard a loud noise then oil and smoke were everywhere. Now my car sits broken down in the driveway just like it was before I went to Wedge vee dub and spent thousands of dollars to drive 25 miles. Went to wedge because they used to take care of my last bug when it was Karl's, wow what difference. The guys are cool and courteous however I don't have a happy ending or a running VW. Brian
