Wekiva Springs Hospital

I thought the staff was amazing especially Kris and Kristy. I felt like they truly cared and it almost seemed like I was talking to friends rather than Mental Health professionals. I was educated on coping skills, as well as how to retrain my brain and behaviors. I will never forget them, and I am forever grateful!

I did a lot of research before selecting Wekiva Springs for my dad's treatment. Because of mixed reviews , I was hesitant to leave him under their care, so I asked for a tour. I was pleasantly surprised. Each person I met with, introduced themselves and clearly explained what they were doing and what facility rules are. Aesthetically, Wekiva Springs is plain but clean and well lit. Their rules are strict and a challenge to get used to. However, we understood what was being done, why and what next steps were. In the end, my father is in a much better place.

Having worked in the field of mental health for over 30 years, I have experienced the best, the worst and everything in between. Wekiva Springs Center is my go to hospital for crisis stabilization and acute care for my clients. I have been impressed by their ability to provide support to my clients during the most challenging moments in their life. Moreover, the staff at Wekiva seems to have compassion, inspire hope, and teach their patients the necessary skills required to overcome their condition and improving their overall quality of life.

The week I spent at Wekiva was not exactly great fun . But I am alive and sober today because of it. This was no vacation. They definitely understand what you dealing with and try hard to help you. Their staff is understanding and make you as comfortable as they can

Beware! Their web site lists full-time staff, but treatment does not include ANY doctor. All are considered independent contractors and will send you separate bills. For who knows how long. A family member received treatment at Wekiva in 2016 (although, if there are no doctors at the facility, the only treatment received is really a quiet room and a couple sandwiches -- you can probably get these at home and skip this VERY expensive hotel room). After being told that all billing issues were settled 18 months ago, we just received another bill from "full-time Wekiva physician" Mohammed Touheed, MD, PA For only $684!!! When I called Wekiva, they suggested I call the insurance company that THEY originally misfiled with. The representative I spoke with said that she works on bills that are much older than this -- it can take that long for them to collect from the insurance company!!! If you are depressed, this kind of run-around and surprise out-of-pocket expense isn't likely to help your condition.
