Wendell's

Wendell's is the best breakfast I have ever had the pleasure of eating. I live in California and stumbled upon this restaurant a couple years ago. The food was so magnificent that I planned a trip back to Colorado and ate breakfast at Wendell's both days I was here. I cannot compliment this place enough! Casey, the owner and waitress is a champion at balancing all of the tables and keeping the service fast and personal. I would eat here every day if I could.

What an amazing building/atmosphere. Whoever thought up this place has some real class. The food was on point taste wise, though there were a few things that could be improved on such as cooking the hash browns longer till they’re golden and the overcooked poached eggs as the center of mine were hard apposed to runny/soft. I’ll definitely give this place another shot as the atmosphere and finishing a down to the plates and coffee cups were on point in my opinion.

I won’t give it 5 stars because the service was really slow. They were super under-staffed, basically one waitress running the whole place bar, inside, patio and the poor thing seemed exasperated. They need to hire more people or plan their schedule better. However, great vegan and gluten free options and the breakfast poutine was so, so good. Also, I recommend the “breakfast shots”. They sound disgusting but they tasted so good!

The California Benedict was delicious! Lots of gluten free options here including gf pancakes and waffles. This place would probably benefit from removing the tree branch entirely covering their sign though. You’d never know it existed unless someone told you about it.

Sitting at a local dinner back home, can’t stop thinking about this places pancakes, hash browns and how great Casey was in serving us. At a complete loss for these last few negative reviews. This place is an absolute gem! Great latte, atmosphere and hospitality! Thanks again Casey!

First timers today for Saturday Brunch! We had our dog with us and we were sat on the patio surrounded by shade and greenery. Service was great, checked in with us at the right times. Food was SO DELICIOUS!! I got the chicken and waffle sliders, my boyfriend got the steak and eggs Bennie and we both got brûléed grapefruit. We will definitely be back! Thank you for the great experience Wendell’s! Even having to unfortunately be short staffed, you guys killed it!

Oh my. For you gluten free folks out there...don't walk, but run to this amazing breakfast spot! SO MUCH on the menu and so much goodness!! French toast, pancakes, and so much more! It was simply delicious. Sneak over there and enjoy a wonderful meal! YUM!

Service is marginal at best. Food is decent but pricey. If they could get waitstaff to match the quality of cooks it would be a 4 star + place. Only busy on weekends but service is still poor on weekdays. Today the waiter acted as if we were bothering him. Bartender has always been friendly. Music is always a bit on loud side when no one in there. I went w mother a cpl months ago and only people at one other table and we asked them to turn down music, and if they did, it was not noticeable. We live 2 blocks away but won’t go back again after multiple times of rude/poor service

Wendell's is amazing! We go there maybe 2 times a month. The outside padio is great and they allow dogs out there. The wait staff is superb - everyone is so nice. I love the waffle sliders, they're absolutely the best thing on the menu.

Went here for breakfast last weekend and there weren't any prices on the menu. I expect a priceless menu at an expensive restaurant, but not at a breakfast diner. I had to ask the waitress for pricing on two items and frankly the breakfast was overpriced. I thought for $13 I would at least get bigger portions and for a priceless menu and I expected better jam than portioned Smuckers grape. The only saving grace was that our waitress was great, but you don't get the bang for your buck here.
