West Seattle Nursery & Garden Center

I love this nursery. The plants are much less expensive than Swanson’s and they sell more small plants for gardeners who are on a budget but really want a particular plant. In addition they specialize in rare or unusual conifers. Also the plant combos are artistically done and they have reasonable priced containers-of all sizes-and in every single color.

I love coming here. There are so many varieties of plants available, better than buying from the chain hardware stores. Lots of garden art and tools. The parking is a bit challenging. Staff are helpful.

Only nursery in West Seattle (other than the Big Box nursery) so limited options. They never answer the phone. I also left messages (recording states they check and return messages "every couple of hours") - no one has returned calls. They have a captive audience so they don't need to.

I go here because I can find the plants I'm looking for, and get help with finding something that work for my yard. My kid love it too. So much to look at.

It’s not cheap, and it’s easy to drop a lot of cash here, but the selection is the best in West Seattle. I’d gladly trade some of that selection for lower prices though, especially on ceramic pots. Prices at Fred Meyer are much better for pots, but get the actual plants at WS Nursery. The new gift area is nice too.
