I do not recommend this place. Here's the pros. The receptionist is very friendly and very on top of things. I like that she sends you a text message of all your appointment dates, one succinct message. There was a visiting therapist a black young woman, who was excellent. And there's a Caucasian gentleman with blonde hair, who I felt was excellent. Here's the pros, my doctor told me since I was not feeling better when I left these sessions and actually feeling worse; that I could decide to cut down 50% of what they had me doing. At every single appointment after this about 5 appointments, I had to repeatedly tell each therapist this. They did not make the notations in my file and therefore; every time I came in; had me scheduled to do the full session. I found this to be disparaging, because this tells me you're not keeping good notes and records; regarding my treatment. In addition, they have you work with a different therapist every time you come in. I don't like that. The physical therapy place I went to before this known as Healthpointe in Ontario did not do that. You have the same therapist and or their assistant every time you came. To me that is far more organized, and my preference. I want somebody who's more familiar with what I'm supposed to be doing. In addition, because they don't read the notes, make proper notations, and had me working with a different therapist every time I came in; most of them were unprepared with what my session was supposed to be composed of. They constantly have me doing things that I never did at the previous sessions. They are completely unorganized. Some of the therapists there are not friendly or personable. I would not call them rude, but they definitely need work in customer service. Monica physical therapist would definitely benefit from some customer service. The person I just worked with today, he barely even speaks to you, is not friendly or personable. He kept pointing at the things he wanted me to do, rather than mostly telling me. Who points at whatever you want a person to do? What kind of customer service is that? What they don't know is, I used to work in a physical therapy office for about 2 years as an assistant. I can tell you right now, this is not how things should be conducted. Where I worked the physician, physical therapists was organized, and detail oriented; as were his staff. I say don't waste your time here, go to Healthpointe in Ontario. They are far better. Rancho Physical Therapy in Rancho Cucamonga is also better. Ask for Pedro. I do not recommend Westar physical therapy in Montclair. Thank God today is my last day!!
Physical therapy isn't always fun. You hurt, you're being "forced" to exercise and move what hurts, but the ENTIRE staff is AH-MAZING! Everyone is always talking to each other, sharing stories, laughs, and it makes pushing through the pain bearable. The staff, ALL the staff, always remember your name, greets you with a smile, and asks how you're feeling. They are always trying new exercises and showing the patient new things. It's like a happy family setting, not tortuous physical therapy! I was surprised and happy I felt so well after my first round and sad to say goodbye. This place rocks. So do the employees!
MY MOTHER, Susan Pennington. HAS HAD SEVEN SESSIONS. SHE TOLD ME bERNARDO, aaLMA, Michael and Art ar the best1 I insisted that my mm BRINGs A GIFT FOR the staff TODAY TO EXPRESS APPRECIATION FOR HOW my MOTHER HAS BEEN TAKEnnNCARE OF AND i gave my mother gifts for you - mostly she is not so emotional, has begun to accept diminished functioning. BUT, none of you really know MOM. sHE WORKs IN AND OUTSIDE THE HOUSE ABOUT twelve hoursa HOURS A DAY1. she pushes herself hard, doesnt rest enough and always feels guilty. My mm has been working with special needs teens in out of home car for 40= years - and onlt about eight weeks off in 39 years. Maybe she is getting older, 66 in three weeks;. she plans to work at least to70. Please as a Christmas Present to her 20-year old loving son Thomas, ,try to explain the necessity of restorative function for as much rest as reasonable,in light of her injuries commensurate with her her current healing requirements, to slow down. Sh'e is like the energizer bunny. She is always going and needs to learn how to switch on her parasympathetic CNS. Is there help for her?. She is belligerent when i suggest working less and saying NO to new contracts. She raves about all of you - so I have a small present for each of you.
