I love this place and all of the guys who work there. They're so friendly and knowledgeable. My dogs always get a big knuckle bone when I shop here so now they know that green bag when I get home.
This place has processed two elk for me in the last several years. Their summer sausage and pepperoni are delicious! I plan to keep going back. As of today, deer are $75 for cut, wrap, ground. Elk are $0.75/lb for the same. Summer sausage/brats $3/lb. Pepperoni $3.50/lb. Italian/breakfast sausage $1/lb.
Really disappointed. Got the $100 meat bundle that comes with a variety of meat. Upon bringing it home and unpacking items the sirloin steaks all had freezer burn, the chicken parts and pork all tasted like they had been cross contaminated with fish even after marinading and cooking -we have no fish in our personal freezer. The only good items were the bacon and tri-tip steak... Which weren't worth 100$. Definitely sad that our experience here was bad since we wanted to be a regular customer. After going back the next day to ask for a swap out of the freezer burn steak with a receipt in hand and original wrapping on the meat, the gentleman behind the counter was very unhappy about my request and was unwilling to give my receipt back in case any other meat was bad upon opening. Wish we had a different experience.
Lowest quality meat I've ever seen. Their food handling practices are suspect as well. Do yourself a favor and buy meat from anywhere else or just get a can of dog food to snack on.
Nice, helpful people and I have never been disappointed with the quality. I recommend this place to anyone.
We lived just down the street for 5 years, can not say enough about these guys! Great people and always greeted with a big smile and help you choose what you should get. Hopefully this place will be here for many more years!
I have never met a more fun loving group of guys working. Whenever I come in they are all smiles and jokes and laughs. Not to mention great meat products and a good variety. I recommend the picnic pack and we often pick one up on payday to last us through a week or two as a family of 4. Be sure not to just come in for their meats, but also their seasoning, sauce, and wood chip options. I also recommend the prepared potatoes to go with your grilling.
This is a rad place. I've been there 4 times over the last couple years and everything I've purchased has been perfect. I didn't have to wait 30 minutes to get my prime rib, like I've experienced at other places around town. Steaks are priced WAY better than grocers, and the quality is better. I stumbled on them because of the close vicinity to my office and feel really lucky to have done so. I'll be going a lot more regularly from now on usually have gone for holiday prime rib.
I brought in 15 pounds of venison scrap to be turned into pepperoni and it is absolutely amazing! Will be returning for all of my future smoking/processing needs. I was down from a surgery and my wife picked it up for me and she said they were great to deal with, really funny and respectful. Worth the drive.
This shop is great, I picked up a couple of steaks today for about 1/3 the price I would pay New Seasons or Fred Meyer. They were as good or better quality than both of those places. The guys are super friendly also, and they have a really nice selection of spices and seasoned salts in front of the store. I'm not going to pay 3 times more for meat anymore, I'm going to this shop.
