Widefield Community Center

We love this pool! The staff is great with kids. They give you life vests for any kids who aren't strong swimmers. There is a fun Lilly pad game that spans the entire pool, a climbing wall, water basket ball, diving board, and more! During the warmer months there is a splash pad outside and two pools for smaller kiddos. And the price is very reasonable.

Usually have a good time. This time went on a Saturday open swim. The staff was extremely rude. Started off with when we first got there and they went to put way to small of a life vest on my nephew ( which I only know because every weekend I go there they put a bigger one on him) and the lady had an attitude when I said he needs a bigger one. Then my nephew goes to go on the rock climbing wall ( which I've never been on so we didn't know the rules and there are none posted.) The guy kept whistling at him to get in line. So we make him stand in line and when it's his turn the life guard waits till we get all the way to the rock climbing wall to tell us he can't wear life vest and needs to pass a swim test. Not to mention we bought some water squirters and they wouldn't let us use them unless they're the size of your hand. I don't even know of a water squirter you can buy that small. Ridiculous.

The park is great for various sports, walking and has an indoor pool as well as a seasonal splash park. The community center has activities during the school year and summer and an awesome library. I love this community center. I know this sounds like an advertisement but that's just how good it is.
