Spent the morning with Captain Mike and Justin today. They were both hard working and good guys to spend the day with. The boat was organized and clean. As fishing goes, sometimes you catch them sometimes you don't, but no matter what this crew is a blast to work with.
Was waiting in line for the extreme parasailing and overheard them joking and making racist comments towards Asian and Chinese people. A family came up to purchase fish and he told them it’s 20$ A pound for Americans and 40$ a pound for Chinese people. Then actually proceeded to charge those prices and speak in a condescending tone towards a lady and her family who were Asian. Honestly disgusting behavior wouldn’t support these bozos for any reason.
Don’t waste your money. Worst $1400.00 ever spent, not including the tip. Literally rode around on a boat for 8 hours trolling lures and didn’t catch a thing. They did not use live bait and weren’t very proactive in scouting or spotting fish. Captain and deck hand sat up top and barely said 5 sentences to us the entire 8 hours. The captain kept checking on the motor claiming he was doing so because they just changed the oil, but it seemed more serious than that. Book elsewhere.
Spent 1/2 day fishing tour with Capt Andy on the Iwa Kai and crew. We had a party of 8 and had a fantastic time from launch to return. Fishing was fun, crew was fun and very good at their job. We all had a great time and truly enjoyed our time on the boat. Highly recommend for a great tour and fun day!
I am very disappointed in the fishing trip and the staff. I paid for deep sea fishing. What I got out of this was a boat ride. This was our first time in Hawaii and wanted to surprise my husband with this trip because he loves to fish. I got sea sick, Mike and Phil were rude about it. Mike said I was stubborn because I did not want to go to the top on deck but I eventually did. Phil's comment was they are the ones that wanted to come fishing. I was not bothering anyone. I never said anything negative or mentioned that I wanted to go back to land. I did everything possible to stay calm and positive. We did not stop to fish. They did not let my husband even touch the fishing rods. This was an expensive 6 hours boat ride. Looking forward to hearing from a manager.
We had a great time on our 6-hour charter today! We only caught one fish, a yellowfin tuna, but the guys can't make them bite you know? The boat is awesome, it is really clean and the inside AC was fantastic for my 9 y/o and his buddy. Mike and the staff were awesome, even the guy who bragged about his bus riding days inside boat joke of the day. I look forward to another day out on the water, next time my daughter said she will join us! Thanks for helping my son catch his first fish ever!
The Captain and First mate were Exceptional and professional. The vessel was clean and well-kept. The cabin area was great for relaxing and shade Especially because we had two in our group got seasick and they were able to lay down and rest. However we were disappointed in not catching any fish and we didn’t use live bait on the large reels, and just a few freeze fish on the small reels to try to catch big live bait. For the cost we were very disappointed not catching anything on the 4 hour adventure. But we really liked the First mate, such a great young man and hard and focused worker! But both of our cars got tickets were we We were told to park and didn’t need to pay.
January 2020. Had a phenomenal time! We went out for a 3/4 day fishing trip and came back with two fish of a lifetime. A stunning 100 pound Striped Marlin and a whopping 481 pound Blue Marlin. Mike and Jay treated us with the absolute utmost respect and made our trip worthwhile. Safety was their priority which only enhanced our experience. We highly recommend fishing with the Wild Bunch and will definitely be coming back for more.
Great day out on the sea. We had many hits but no fish caught. Mike and Chip are awesome and seem to know what they are doing. I definitely would ride with them again! The boat was awesome. I love longer boats because it makes the rougher waters easier to handle. They allowed us upon the bridge for better views. When we saw a small whale it was a great vantage point for Viewing.
This is a first class fishing boat. Capt Mike and Jay were awesome during our trip. The weather was not the best but we went out and actually ended up landing a Blue Marlin. It wasn't the biggest in the ocean but thanks to them ive now caught a Blue Marlin in the Dominican and in Hawaii. Highly recommended and if I ever come back I will definitely be fishing with these guys. Thanks for the great time fishing and alot of memories.
