This was our first time. The food was amazing. Honestly we tried going back the following weekend but found they close early 6:30pm. Even the kid’s menu is good. Both my kids ate all of their food 6/7 years old. Which isn’t normal for them. One had burger and fries. The other had a cheese pizza. Not pictured The only reason I gave them a 4 star review, is the service wasn’t the best. They might of been short staffed. The waitress/bartender forgot to come back and to take the rest of our order. She was nice and very apologetic.
Stopped here for lunch. Have to say, the food was great. Would have given it a five star review, but service was a bit lacking. We were a party of four. They were busy, but lunch took an hour and half. Three sandwiches, a quiche with soup, seems a bit long. Asked for some mayonnaise from the waitress, we were almost finished the meal before it appeared. Had asked for no cucumber in my sandwich, there were cucumbers.
It’s usually extremely busy at this place and there’s a reason why. This casual and fresh atmosphere restaurant is one of Salem’s must go to. The food is always good and staff is also great. My favorites are the chicken wild pear pizza and the pho dip.
Hidden little gem! The service was as incredible as the homemade food. The chili tasted like it was straight out of the pot at Grandma’s house, the flaky crust on the cheddar tomato tart was delicious, and the hazelnut chicken salad was creative, mild, and well seasoned. Highly recommend!
We stopped in for a light lunch after a long day in the woods hiking.. Kip and I both had soups and salad as well as quiche. All was delicious Our server was polite and attentive. We took home two slices of this decadent cake with candied nuts and dried oranges. Mascarpone cream.... yummy
I can see why these two items are such popular choices. The Coconut Curry Butternut Squash Soup was amazing. I loved the combination of the 3 P’s Salad. Service was friendly and timely and the environment inside is fun and quaint in an historic feeling way.
Many years ago I came here and it wasn't my favorite. I recently returned and I would say it was a 180 experience. Great menu, well prepared dishes and specials. Quality, service good . A bit of something for everyone. Cool bar you can pull up to for a quick lunch. Wr had a hummus Plate with veggies. I Had their Kalua pulled pork sandwiche with ginger slaw. Marionberyy BBQ on the side. Mixed fried. Was tasty.
Wild Pear is a Salem staple. They consistently deliver a great experience, awesome customer service, and delicious food. Also, their catering is one of the best. They have a ton of creativity and do a great job plating everything while delivering timely and accurate orders. They do a good job with their takeout as well.
Amazing food, GREAT SERVICE. It's a little loud and echo-y, but so worth it. A must-eat-at Salem restaurant.Food: 5/5
What a wonderful spot in the heart of downtown Salem. A beautiful mix of American and Vietnamese cuisine brought together in a way that is not only delicious but healthy too. You can taste the quality that goes into every item. There are some items priced a little high at first glance but then you see the serving size and it makes perfect sense. Do yourself a favor and also save room for dessert. Yum!
