Last week I had hip surgery and I had a wonderful experience at Willamette Surgical Center. Their nursing staff was amazing and very caring. They are skilled with the medical aspect of care but also the comforting and truly giving an encouraging presence. They made me feel supported and I knew that everything would be okay. It was my very first surgery and I am very happy with how my experience went.
Everyone is super friendly. This is my 3 rd surgery there within a year. This time the place was very busy with different surgeries happening. I never once felt forgotten by the staff. Everyone knows their responsibilities and patients are well taken care of. I would be happy to recommend this facility. Thank you so much one and all
Unfortunately, my wife and I have had to use the willamette surgery center 4+ times . Like every other time, upon entering the facility, it feels like home. The reception personnel are very friendly and welcoming. The lobby and waiting area is incredible and great for those that have to wait. All the staff and everyone involved in my most recent surgery were top notch, just like every other time I have been there. I would give everybody there five stars for their professionalism and for what felt like genuine concern, and care for my well-being. Their whole program for a knee replacement is incredible and I can see why Hope Orthopedics partners with them. I will definitely be using them in the future, if possible, for any future surgeries that I might need. I recommend them to anyone who would needs a surgery center. It’s obvious why Hope Orthopedics and Salem Hospital partner with them.
Calm, caring environment. There was absolutely no wait time. I got there, checked in, was walked back, got changed, met with my surgeon, met my anesthesiologist, was given an IV, and finally walked back for my surgery all within less than 1 hour. When I woke up they were very quick to get my brace on and help me get dressed. The doctor was in direct contact with my husband after surgery to let him know how it went and that I was out of surgery. All in all I felt very comfortable and in good hands. Definitely would recommend!
The building was beautiful and comfortable. The office staff was friendly and a joy to talk to. The nurses and staff in the back are great. I can’t say I want to return any time soon but if I had a choice or need, definitely would return.
Very homey feeling upon entering with the huge fireplace and living room styled waiting area. The staff was very friendly and made sure our questions, if any were answered. Each member of the staff we met were very friendly and made me feel welcomed and knowing I would be well taken care of!
This was a very clean and friendly place to have my surgery. I was well taken care of, both before and after my Surgery. They made my husband feel comfortable and well informed about me I would definitely use willamette surgery center again and I love that a nurse came to my house the next day at no extra cost to me
Greeted immediately upon coming through the door. Checked in, about 10 minutes, information given to my wife concerning my pickup. Nurse was efficient on getting all the prep work done, as I waited people checked on me. Dr Fan came by and told me we were about 20 minutes out, anesthesiologist came by and gave me his info, we walked in to the room and the next thing I knew I was dressed and heading home. Got a phone call the next day to see how I was doing. All great.
Everyone was incredibly nice and professional. Check in was at 6:50 surgery was almost 9:30 but like I told the nurse, I would rather they do a good job and take a bit longer than have to redo. I didn't mind waiting my turn. Everything was explained as to what was being done. I was home by 2pm
It was good until after surgery. I bled through my bandages so I called the surgery center, I was directed to come in and have them change. I arrived at the surgery center where a friendly nurse greeted me and went back to get supplies, she returned with a older nurse who was absolutely disrespectful on hand did not have any compassion. She literally looked at me did not takeoff my ace bandage or anything or even look at my wounds. She just said, “well what do you want me to do about it, we will do the same thing that is already there. So just leave it alone” That was all she said and walked away. I was mortified and embarrassed. Let me add my discharge papers literalldressing gets saturated with blood. I’m expected to keep the same dressing on for 10 days, if you’ve ever had surgery you know that when you have dried hard blood Pressing against a brand new wound with stitches it does not feel good. Also my aftercare pain management was ridiculous. I had two different surgeries at the same time, at my preop I spoke to the surgeon and the surgery Director about how we planned on taken care of pain management. They were aware I would need more pain medication‘s then the average person for specific reasons that they are aware of. They told me not to worry and that they would take care of everything just to be prescribed 20 painkillers which I ran out of quickly for obvious reasons.
