Ordered a Shun Premier and the knife arrived in a cheap cardboard sheath that looks nothing like typical Shun packaging.
Many Items I can find. Holiday items are already there.
Great place to find high quality kitchen items and excellent staff to help choose the best ones. With the first purchase, a KitchenAid Mixer to make bread, Jen was helpful to say that even the Artisan model was a bit underpowered for bread and recommended the Proline series. I had bought a Professional 5 Plus from another store that would shut down after a short time, which I brought back. The Proline series machine worked the way the older KitchenAid's worked, flawlessly. I also found a 12 inch steamer at WS that I could not find anywhere else. And Amy was tremendously helpful in finding the best quality stainless steel cookware. Overall everything I bought at William Sonoma was top quality and better than anywhere else I shopped.
So apparently even though I brought my Nespresso machine back within 30 days and everything, it wasn’t acceptable as a return because I didn’t have the original styrofoam it came in, and I guess there was also a fingerprint visible somewhere on it. This isn’t hyperbole, those were the reasons I was given. Don’t buy anything from Williams Sonoma without doing every single bit of research beforehand; they’re too upscale to abide by the same return policies as every other big retailer I know of.
My husband and I had a wonderful experience today at this store, completely due to the great customer service we had from Aaron. We had purchased wine glasses quite a few years ago and some of them have since broken. We decided we wanted to purchase a few replacements. Aaron was able to look up our previous purchase and figure out which ones we had ordered prior as we couldn’t remember. As it turned out, they have been discontinued but he was amazingly able to track down more for us from another store after a long search. Service like this is hard to come by these days and we left very appreciative and happy. Thank you, Aaron!
Online shopping is great but nothing beats a professional human. I needed more info on solid kitchen cookware. The staff had me in and out in 20 mins., with a great set of 3 ply Ceramic pans.
I would give zero stars if I could. I ordered 2 modular wine racks. These were to build on top of my current wine racks that I purchased from Williams Sonoma in the past. They are solid wood and connect together like Lincoln Logs. The 2 new racks arrived. The joints where they connect are broken. I placed this order on October 11th when they arrived broken the customer service agent assured me they'd me happy to replace the racks and ship with better care. That was on Oct 19. I did not receive the replacement. I called again on November 6th and they said not to worry, they were due to arrive on the 7th. The replacement racks still didn't show up. I called on November 9th and they said they were going to create a brand new replacement as the others were never processed and never even created a label. Estimated delivery for that replacement was November 23rd. Today I called again. December 2nd. Still no wine racks replaced. The customer service agent told me.they still had not processed the replacement. She said she would submit a "where's my order request" but would not transfer me.to a supervisor and said there was nothing else I could do. Do waste your time or money. Its been 2 months and I am beyond frustrated with no help and broken merchandise.
I bought a Wusthof Ikon knife from them on Friday. $150 knife, took it out of the case when I got home and didn’t like the feel as it was too small for my hands. Hannah who sold me the knife didn’t offer to let me feel the knife while in the storeI assumed it was due to COVID anyways, as the knife doesn’t fit my hand ergonomics I went back in today Monday 9/21 to see if I could exchange it for a Wusthof Classic Chefs knife and was told they do not except returns for knives by a store employee named Joshua. He in-formed me that the policy states so on the receipt which it did not but he still refused to exchange my knife. I’m now out $150 for a knife I can’t comfortably use. I will no longer purchase anything from Williams and Sonoma. They should have been more transparent about their knives return policy. They should have offered to let me hold the knife before purchase. $150 knife is way to expensive to just wright off as a silly mistake. I’m wildly unhappy. I guess this is why Amazon is leading the world in sales across the board. They would have happily accepted my return no questions asked. I’ll stick with them for my future kitchen ware purchases.
On Friday, I specifically asked when I purchased an item from sale area if I could return it and was assured that I could by the cash register associate. Upon getting it home, it clashed with other items in my home, so two days later I went to return or exchange it. The staff looked at me as I broke the ultimate shopping taboo of returning a final sale item...but, I assured them that I was told yes, that I could return it and described both people working at the counter two days earlier. The manager pointed out the posted rules by tapping on a nearby sign and said I could not return or exchange the item. I regret not asking him to inquire with the employees that handled the transaction on Friday and I just muttered ‘it’s just not worth it.’ Bad customer service by all, especially the manager, for not taking my details and speaking to the employees I described. My character was called into question and I was not believed, nor given the benefit of the doubt; I was made to feel like a scam artist and liar. I’m stuck with the item now that will serve as a constant reminder to shop elsewhere.
This store is in a very good location-lots of shops around. So far, the staff that helped me from this location have been nice and attentive. Williams Sonoma sells a lot of different brands, a good place to check out those pots/pans you’ve been eyeing online
