While I can appreciate a large volume of calls for certain problems, I can't appreciate being interrupted multiple times while trying to explain something. Yes, you may already have "police en route", but I'd like to finish telling you precisely what I hear, and from what direction. While you may be "en route", I MAY have information that could be useful to further identify, locate, and solve, the situation at hand. Moreover, with other phone calls, I have been cut short by the women in the office and told the police department was "closed" for these matters, and that I could call the Sheriff's office during the next business day. I'm sorry, but my option should not be waiting for the next business day when a crime [and its evidence] are likely completely gone, or clogging the emergency line of 911 with non-emergency problems. Problems may be solved quickly enough, but the treatment of those calling in should be looked at, and improved.
