Windy Corner Market

Very cool vibe here. Food was great and it's located in a country setting. The restaurant is decorated with items you would find in a local store and guess what; most of them are. It is a creative take on eating out. The proprietors are tapping into the nostalgia chic' lover. This place would strike a cord with those who had a soda shop or sandwich shop in their home town they might have frequented in their youth. This place did have a down side though as it did have some cleanliness issues. The floor of the men's restroom was extremely slippery as though soap or oil had been spilled. Not wanting anyone to slip or fall I mentioned it to one of the staff who seemed to be in disbelief. Some of the tables in the back screened in area weren't as clean as they could've been. Maybe I should be less critical though. If you're looking for a nice place to go for a unique experience that is in a pretty area that isn't quite like anything else in the area come. Bring your wife, girlfriend, or bring your wife and your girlfriend both for some trendy country inspired food fare.

Delicious food enjoyed outside with our family on a nice Spring day. Picnic table on the side lawn was a great space for the kids to play while we had a very long wait (over an hour from time of order until getting food). Pleasant classic Kentucky setting and good food if you’re feeling patient.

Four out of five meals recalled. The wait was tremendously long, it took over an hour to receive five meals. The shrimp poor boy was good but a little light on the shrimp. Everyone else had some sort of barbecue or barbeque sandwich with fries which were all delivered cold. This place is probably better suited as a tourist nostalgic destination versus a foodie Hangout.

Went on a Sunday afternoon which would explain the wait for food. It was nice quant place in the middle of horse country. Super busy but didn't feel rushed which was nice. Food was good, though I prefer its sister store Wallace Station. Over all not bad just wouldn't make a special trip out.

Great locally sourced fare cooked to order. Situated on a quiet intersection just outside central lexington, surrounded by horse ranches. Kind quick service. Outdoor seating is perfect for a warm day, with plenty of indoor space as well.
