I tried to make an appointment with dr. Lovegren I believe the name was (or similar) I spoke with a lady that worked there for her, she sounded a little older. And she was extremely rude! I was as nice as I could be even after her constant rude comments. She got mad at me because I wasn't exactly sure when my last period was. I asked if she had an opening for the next day and she got mad at me again. I ended up just hanging up the phone because I felt attacked for absolutely no reason. My stay there did not last long. After that they didn't call me to set up an appointment because she knew she messed up! I decided to go to Bryan east and they worked with me and are soo much nicer. I don't know the ladies name, but you know who you are and you should be ashamed of yourself!

My experiences with Dr. Martee MacLeod-Kozal do not embody the kind of care that patients should have with their OB/GYN. After being a patient of hers for over a year, I have left her practice, as she was dismissive and unempathetic. During one visit, Dr. MacLeod-Kozal came into the room & discredited my needs, and she left me feeling incompetent about the care I felt I needed. I’ve never interacted with a provider where I, the patient, felt bad for what I knew to be true. In one discussion that was a result of her own support staff’s miscommunication, she unapologetically told me my concerns weren’t warranted and left me with the impression that my concerns were unwarranted. I asked for some space, gathered my things, and left. She failed to listen to what I was experiencing and overlooked what I felt was best for me while sticking to what she thought was medically relevant. And yet, this wasn’t the only experience where she seemed to lack engagement in me and my partner’s concerns. In another instance, I raised concerns to her regarding symptoms experienced - she was again dismissive. With my first visit to a new provider, I raised this concern again, and learned that Dr. MacLeod-Kozal had missed a diagnosis that was impacting my quality of life. I will never return to the Women’s Health Care Center of Williamsburg, and I urge others to find a different provider as well. It wasn’t a single experience that pushed me to leave - but, the experiences with the staff, the provider, and everyone involved.

I was with doctor Emily Neri. At my first appointment, I asked her if she has any plan that would make her unavailable near my due date. She said NO. After a few months, I found out from one of her patients that SHE HAS THE SAME DUE DATE with me. Obviously, she cannot be there to deliver my baby. She told her other patients her due date because they have different due dates. I, the one who has the same due date with her should be informed, but she totally ignored it. I made one more appointment with her (since I would have to pay the same amount of money for Antepartum care whether the total number of visits is 4 or 5 anyway). At that last appointment, I asked her to confirm if she is really having the same due date with me and she said YES. I told her this was my last visit with her and I would change to a new care provider. The reason is obvious: 1. If she did not know that she was pregnant with the same due date with me at my first appointment (I was ~ 11 weeks pregnant at that time), then I cannot trust her as an OB. 2. If she knew that she has the same due date with me and lied to me so that I would stay with her, then she just cares about the money, not her patient. No one wants to change to a new provider when they are so close to their due date. However, it is better to change to a new one than stay with someone you cannot trust. I am with a new care provider now and I am happy with my decision.

This is a fine clinic if you don't mind waiting past your appointment time at every visit. I've had three appointments here for three years in a row, and each time they kept me waiting for 45 minutes. Shivering in nothing but a sheet and a cold examination room. No apologies and no changes. At my last visit a couple of days ago I finally had enough. After 30 minutes I got dressed and left. No apology, no phone call, nothing. It's sad when I get treated better when I buy tires for my car or shop at Target! I won't be back.

Dr. Neri is the best! I had some tests done and she called me personally with the results. She always takes time to have a conversation with me and I can tell that she honestly cares about me and all of her patients. Amazing doctor and great clinic.
