Phenomenal! Dr. Winston is hands down the best doctor I have ever had in my whole life. She really gets to know you and remembers everything you say. She truly listens and welcomes you to ask any questions or voice concerns. I have never felt rushed with her and she always explains everything and puts me at ease. I have met some of the other doctors too during my last pregnancy and each one was also great. The front office staff, ultrasound techs and nurses are always very nice and helpful as well. I have had tons of office visits and have always had a great experience.
I’m about 11 weeks postpartum and saw Dr. Santoro here from the beginning of my pregnancy through birth. She’s really the best doctor I’ve seen for anything. Her beside manner makes me feel like I’m with someone I’ve known for a while she cuts up a lot! and that she genuinely cares about my health. I was pleasantly surprised with her attitude towards mental health—as someone with terrible anxiety, having her check in on a regular basis and suggest medications to help with my mental health was so appreciated. She also seemed to approach topics that would worsen my anxiety cautiously or in a way that would minimize additional worries for me. I can’t recommend Dr. Santoro enough! On the big birthday, which came by surprise, she was there within an hour and helped me through a super speedy labor with no complications.
The staff is so friendly and helpful. Waiting area time was very quick! I saw Dr Bennett and I’d recommend her to anyone, she has amazing bedside manner and made sure all my questions/concerns were answered. She made me feel comfortable and cared for.
If you want a doctor who suggests a preterm c section based on a prior uterine surgery without even checking the operatives notes- choose Dr Miklic. I emailed the practice with no response, so instead of writing a whole review- I will just add it here. I had no intention of leaving a review until my email informing them of their mistake was left either unnoticed or not cared about at all. My suggestion is to research C- Section rates by hospital, and then I would go to Simon Williamson Clinic at Princeton to make sure you’re not getting a surgery happy suggestion that puts you and your baby in danger in order to convenience the doctor and their liability insurance. I would also like you guys to stop sending me bills as you did NOTHING to care for me or this baby. I have paid enough for your less than ideal advice, and I am not going to continue to pay for incompetence. Honestly, the right thing to do would be to refund me for anything I already paid out of pocket because had I followed your advice, I likely would have had a baby in the NICU and no chance of every birthing vaginally again since you wanted to do a vertical incision. Less importantly, the wait times were outrageous. If you have a job you’re losing a full day of PTO for each appointment. On the positive side, she is a nice lady even if I think she’s not a good doctor. / Good evening, I am writing this as I feel like it’s important information for your providers to know. I was a patient of Dr. Miklic’s earlier in my pregnancy. Due to me having a myomectomy, she automatically suggested a vertical incision C-section around 35 weeks. After that I started looking for new providers and switched. I just delivered my baby vaginally today at term with no issues. No NICU or prematurity that would have come with her suggestion, and also no major surgeries. I want to talk about this. The risk of uterine rupture after myomectomy is less than a 1% according to legitimate medical studies. That means you have MORE than a 99% chance of a successful birth without rupture. Why would you then suggest someone has a repeat uterine surgery- which carries a lot of risk on its own- based on a minuscule chance of rupture that’s probably even lower when you realize they also combine dihescence into that statistic? Especially when you did not even read the OP report. If there is no entrance to the uterine cavity, there is no increased risk. Not all myomectomies are done inside the uterus, and as a surgeon, you should know that. You should also know and be conveying the risks of repeat uterine surgeries while suggesting one for a < 1% risk of rupture. It feels disingenuous and manipulative to not show both sides of the coin. C sections are major surgeries, and recovery is not a joke. Putting moms through that unnecessarily through scare tactics and fear mongering is frankly gross, and I think you should want better for your practice and your patients. Moms do not deserve to be dehumanized to the point where cutting into them for no reason and sending them home to care for a newborn a few days later is normalized. C sections have their place, but I think you need to reevaluate how often they are performed in your practice after reviewing your c section rate. I feel as though that recommendation was reckless, and it would have endangered my baby’s life as 35 weeks is still underdeveloped. I am writing this because other women should be able to trust their provider. I am scared someone will take that horrible advice for no good reason, and that’s why I am writing. I mean no malice, but obviously I am upset because if I didn’t know better- I could be in a different position right now that doesn’t involve cuddling my healthy, full term child. Do better for your patients and their babies.
Patients Beware!! There is a form during check in that allows the office to sell your health information to data companies for targeted adds. They claim it’s anonymous, but know that this info is very easy to de-anonymize!! This form was hidden amongst standard consent forms, and had I not read it carefully, they would have gladly sold my information without informed consent. This is incredibly alarming, especially given the current climate around reproductive rights and right to privacy. The nurses are very kind, but whoever runs this establishment is not concerned about informed consent or privacy in the slightest. Very disappointed.
Absolutely awful. They don’t listen. I have every symptom of listeria- negative flu and Covid. They wouldn’t call in the medication to treat it. The dx for listeria is a 48 hr blood culture and their own website states positive symptoms calls for treatment. It takes 1-2 days for listeria to effect your fetus. Don’t go somewhere who doesn’t care or listen to you.
Feel very swept under the rug and not taken care of. Dr Bennett was great but the staff tends to not do their job. I’m pregnant and knew I had issues with my bladder, never got an appointment for that and when I brought my sample in they apparently lost it because I had to go to urgent care to be treated. Currently switching drs and they don’t even have the decency to send my other dr the records.
Dr. Bethany Campbell has the best bedside manner of any doctor I have ever seen. I had somewhat of a bad reaction to a procedure, but her and her nurse did everything in their power to make sure that I was comfortable and really helped me to not feel embarrassed by my reaction. She talked me through the entire procedure while her nurse gave me words of encouragement throughout the entire process. They truly are the most caring duo! 10/10 recommend if you are looking for a caring and thoughtful physician!
Dr.Heaton is the absolute BEST OBGYN!! She is brilliant, she pays attention the all the details big and small, she is kind, and always goes above and beyond to make sure I feel 100% comfortable with my care.
So.....my husband can be in the room during the ultrasound but he can't be in the room to talk to the doctor? Where is the logic behind that and why would they ever think that is ok? That is sketchy as hell! I am not talking to any doctor about our baby without my husband present. Period end of discussion. That should not ever be debatable! All we kept hearing is "It's not my policy, it's Grandview's. Whether I agree with it or not doesn't matter. I just have to do as I'm told." So if you do think the policy is unacceptable you're not going to take a stand for your patients? That in itself makes me not want to ever come back. I need a doctor and facility that will stand up for me and my baby and my family. They said no visitors to see the doctor. My husband is NOT a visitor. He is my baby's father and has just as much right as me to talk to a doctor about our baby. This is not ok and should NEVER be considered ok. Furthermore we were supposed to have an ultrasound today and we were not on the list. We scheduled this appointment immediately after our first appointment 4 weeks ago! We were not notified beforehand that we weren't getting the ultrasound and no one seemed to care, least of all the manager. They will not hear from us again.
