Yum!!! Best bagels I've ever had! I've only had one bagel in NY so far, but the NJ Wonder Bagel well surpassed it - both in texture and taste.
Wonder bagel is a smash record - the only down fall is the lack of organization. I think the potential to organize the staff could be improved dramatically. However, if you bring your patience or order ahead you’re in for some greatness. The bagels are the freshest around. Breakfast and lunch sandwiches are great. Bagels with a variety of specialty cream cheeses. Just one of those places you should make a morning stop after calling ahead of course
ordered on uber eats. missing toast with the omelet, they gave me an egg bagel instead of an everything bagel. coffee sizes were wrong. when i contacted wonder bagels to make them aware and also that my food was cold. they told me they were too busy to contact me. probably the most disgusting bagels i’ve ever had. staff is rude and incompetent.
Bagels are great and the food options have always been good. Service changes based on staff on duty so that’s sort of hit or miss. Still the best bagel in Bayonne.
Very disappointed! Pre-ordered. No direct pickup spot for online orders, had to wait behind 10 walk in orders before I was acknowledged. Was told 3 times my order wasn’t ready. Saw what looked like my order on top of counter, was again told it wasn’t mine and was given someone else’s order. After showing my phone order confirmation, employees realized it was my order on top of counter the whole time!!!! Like many businesses they tend to ignore orders paid for already and cater to people who haven’t paid yet, only to get their money and ignore them!! Will not be back!
I love the bagels from Wonder Bagels and have loved them for years, but not all locations are the same. Lately in the last couple of years the classic big smear that Wonder bagels is known for, has been reduced to barely anything. It’s not like I’m paying $2.50 for a bagel with cream cheese, so please step up your bagel smearing game. The more locations opened up, the less cream cheese has been used. This is not the business model you’re known for, please get back to that.
After living all this time in JC, I can't believe I didn't try Wonder Bagels til now. I've been missing out. The lines are quite long weekend mornings. I went two times around 10:30am and waited an average of 20 min, but the wait is worth it. The bagels are very fresh and soft but still retains a crispy outer edge. You can actually see them churn out the bagels fresh in the back as fast as people are buying them. Their bagel machines look pretty awesome. They offer the following kinds of bagels: pumpernickel, oat bran, salt, cinnamon raisin, whole wheat, poppy, sesame, everything, plain, egg, sun-dried tomato, onion, and garlic. I have tried their cinnamon raisin, sun-dried tomato, and egg bagel. The cinnamon raisin is pretty stand, but it could use more raisins. I loved the sun-dried tomato and egg bagel though. The sun-dried tomato was savory and full of tomato-ey flavor. You can also taste the herbs in the bagel. The egg bagel is just as good. My boyfriend tried an egg bagel with lox, cream cheese, tomato, and red onion and really enjoyed it. Most of the bagels are made fresh, at least on the weekends, and are still warm. You can ask them to toast it again though. Also, they do take card
Absolutely the best French toast Bagel I have ever gotten . I've tried many places in NJ & Pa. None compare.
If you get the lady with the neck tattoo, you're guaranteed to get your order right, and quickly. I don't knowiof she still works there though. If you get anyone else, prepare for a long, long wait, and probably get it messed up too.
I used to visit them regularly in the past but I don't live in the area anymore. Well I made my first visit in almost four years and my experience was what it used to be ... good, I will stop by every time I'm in NJ, I really enjoy their breakfast sandwiches and their fresh bagels in the morning.
