Woolyn is truly an amazing store. Great customer service, so much knowledge they share. They inspire all my projects. Great range us yarn and products. But always the best quality. Oh, and they support local makers. Go!

Terribly rude to customers. Been there several times and it's not just down to a bad day. It's consistent. Too bad. It has potential. If you must, go when the owner is not there.

Woolyn has a lot of yarn in different colors. They have knitting buttons that are really cute and its a small cozy store. I would've given it FIVE STARS if it hadn't been for the customer service. The lady at the desk was really horrible. She wasn't helpful at ALL and when I asked her to recommend some yarn to me and she just sat there, ignoring me. I am VERY disappointed. My friends had told me a lot of good things about this store and I was really excited. Won't be coming back again.

I love Woolyn! I made a quick run into the shoppe as the parking meter was not working and I didn't want to get a ticket. The ladies were there assisting other customers. The first thing was that the ladies paused from what they were doing and greeted me as I came through the door. They asked if I needed any assistance; I said no because I had a skein of yarn that I previously purchased and was hoping to get more. I was informed that that particular yarn was moved to another location in the store and if I didn't see what I was looking for that they may have some in the back. The ladies did not skip a beat. They were Courteous, professional and engaging all while still servicing the customers that were there before me. In a service oriented business, courtesy is and will always be paramount. Beautiful store, and extremely friendly and helpful staff, and a lovely selection of unique yarn. They typically showcase a good chunk of indie and local yarn which I appreciate. Staff have been very helpful when I have questions or need recommendations. The prices are a bit on the high side though, so I only come if I want to get supplies for a particularly fancy hat or some other small project - hence the missing star.

A lovely selection of yarns and friendly customer service. The range is not as large as some other stores - I had a few different types of yarn in mind for purchase but couldn't find what I wanted in the store, however I still walked away with some pretty yarn. They also offer a few colourways which are unique to their store.

Very cute store, with beautiful yarns. The customer service, however, could be much better. Not the most pleasant experience, and not a very helpful lady in charge at all. I don't know if it's just when I'm there, but the lady was there twice, and not helpful at all. It's a pity, but I don't know if I'll be coming back.

Visited with my friend from NJ. Loved the place and staff was really nice. Explained all the questions about yarns and weaving loom my friend asked. I purchased several yarns and love to visit again.

I visited Woolyn in November when I was visiting Brooklyn. It is a lovely shop with an outstanding selection of artisan hand dyed wool. The proprietor was extremely helpful and could not do enough to help us make our selection. The shop has a warm welcoming spirit and I only wish I lived nearby to spend more time there.
