Stop giving this place more than 1 star. She charges 15 bucks for 2 copies of photos, but to make a passport, you have to have a digital pdf copy of the picture, which they charge extra 25 bucks. That’s ridiculous because it requires them no extra time nor effort to send you the digital copy. They are a rip-off. I told her to not print the picture but she went ahead and printed the picture and told me to pay it. I paid because this place obviously gets no business not surprising given how unprofessional and ill-equipped their service is and I felt bad for them. Do not use this service! Most consulates actually provide free pictures so just do it for free instead of going to this horrible service.
The lady was incredibly friendly and quick to work with. I came in at 9:30AM, an hour before I had my appointment at the Houston Passport Agency and she was very efficient. She was very welcoming, and even offered me where her mirror was in case I wanted to prep myself. She let me take my time and even helped me push my bangs to the side since it would not get accepted if my face was not fully shown. The only thing is that she did not let me know where to look for the camera since I had not ever seen it before and my photo came out with me looking to the right I crack up every time I see it, so I'm fine!. Overall, the photo came out absolutely awesome and I was very pleased. Her photos are way better than maybe taking it at the DMV. She even wondered if I needed a passport application or not and even complimented my photo. She does a great job and I highly recommend her!
Never ever go here if you need passport photos. I had a very bad experience here. I The photos taken did not satisfy requirements for Canada PR and my photos were rejected. I went back to the lady and she did not give me full refund and instead asked to give back photos if I wanted refund. She does not have proper lens to cover the specifications required and also my photos were rejected for not having right background and not being in the center. Also, place is very shady and smells. I went to K-photo in Bellaire from here and I realized how differently the photos were supposed to be taken for Canada PR process in first place.
We got our finger prints printed from this place about 2 months ago. I called them today to let her know that we have not received the reports back. The lady asked me where did I send it. So I was confused with her response and repeated my question and explained it to her that we did the finger prints at this location. After going in circles, I finally understood what she was trying to say. She told me that I need to send the prints myself which I would have appreciated if she told us that. So all these time we were waiting, just went to waste. This was not our first time to do finger printing. Usually wherever we did it, they took care of it. So I told her I wish she would've told us that we needed to mail it ourselves, and she just said, "Okay" O--__--O So I was like, " well so much for customer service..."
If i could have the choice not to rate i would give a 0!!! The lady takes awful photos for passports. I asked her if i can see the photos before she print them and she refused. She told me she can’t show because the machine is printing them right away somehow?! I see the photos and my hair looks like a mess at leaste let me know like hey fix your hair better i mean you should know what they request for a pasport photo to look like right ma’am?! She says $17 for 2 photos. No card only cash or check. No cash on me i go to the bank come back and ask her to take other photos she refused and when i told her well you did not let me see the photos before you print them and my hair look like a mess she refuses! AWFUL SERVICE AND ATTITUDE!!!! Never back here again!!!
Pros: The service was fast and cheap and the photos were the right dimension. Cons: Unfortunately, she uses an old twin lens polariod which doesn't produce sharp images. Looking at them, they were soft - unsurprising given the two tiny lenses it uses. I sent mine to the Australian consulate and they rejected them. I'm going to find someone with a digital SLR and proper flash setup, or end up doing it myself honestly, after two attempts with poor quality photos, I'm thinking I could do a better job with my dSLR at home than these places could.
After reading the reviews, I was uncertain about going here, because of the smell, and services, but I was required to go to this place specifically by my job for a background check. I was pleasantly surprised to find that although there was a smell, it was not bad and barely noticeable. In addition, the woman that was working, middle aged with dark hair and an accent, was extremely friendly and professional, even noticed my motorcycle designation and asked if I liked to ride. Lastly, it seems they fixed the air conditioner because it was not hot inside the building at all. If asked if I would use them again in the future, in case I ever needed a passport, I would definitely use them, as long as things stay the way they are right now.
UKBA New York didn't accept the UK visa photo the shop owner gave me. Luckily, when I submitted my visa application I also threw in a USA passport photo in addition to the UK visa photo she gave me. The USA passport photo was accepted. At least it only cost $13...I see no chance of me getting a refund as she didn't even give me a receipt and I paid in cash. Be careful.
The lady that works there is the most rude person I've met so far in Houston. The photos had a really bad qualitythe cut was uneven, I was not in the center of the photo and there were not accepted. When I went back to tell her so, she was really rude implying that I was lying. I am totally recommending to AVOID this place because of the unprofessionalism and the high price.
I rarely ever leave reviews, and even more rarely leave 5 star reviews, but this place is awesome! Super fast, super professional, and an absolute pleasure to do business with. I highly recommend World Passport Photo for fingerprinting, passport photos, and notary services!
