Wye Island NRMA

Visited on a nice day in January and took a walk through the woods to the bay. There were a number of people walking dogs and taking pictures, plus a share of hunters and signs posting caution about active hunting. Had the kids with us so a little concerned about this but we didn't have an issue. Next time I would probably research the many dirt roads and trails a little better since you could, I suppose, get mildly lost. Good spot for walks, taking pictures and seeing the bucolic Eastern Shore up close.

Beautiful trail ( the last one at the end of the road) leading to a stunning sandy beach under a gnarly pretty tree. Doing the extra loop made you feel like you were in an exotic area.

Very quiet and isolated in winter. Trails mostly well marked but some of the farming lines for vehicles are indistinguishable from the trails.

Went hiking with my son's scout troop. We had fun, learned things and got some exercise.

Lovely walking trails. Nearly no one here in the Spring.
