My family was raised on the WHR.
Dr Harry Kingman Sr was a large animal veterinarian
and raised his family there.
HE Kingman Sr was my one of my grandfathers
and a prominent figure on the ranch in its early 1930s
heyday. My father, Robert C. Breisch married my Mother
Beth Kingman and met as children on the ranch.
Ive added history to this review as Im the imaging
specialist in the family and have many original slides
and negatives of times from the late 1930s into early 1950s.
The WHR is a historic cattle ranch and well worth the visit.
It was an amazing thing to me as a child to visit in 1958 to see real cowboys out on the range or on the ranch at breakfast.
Both my sisters have revisited the ranch over the years.

Owners are the nicest people ever! Always a great time at the Hereford ranch! And ask the owner to do some magic tricks for you! He is really good!

Such a wonderful history. Started by Mr Swan (Swan Land and Cattle Co.) to raise Hereford bulls for their 300000 acre ranch with headquarters at Chugwater, Wyoming. Had a famous bull Domino known for his genetics. Original ranch had 50000 acres in Laramie Co. Original seed stock came from a ranch owned by Swan at Herefordshire England.
