Corruption and GREED. It's all I have to say. Yes , I was speeding on the I-80, and admit that I indeed was driving 14 over the speed limit. The trooper issued me an absurdly large $235 ticket. (The generous trooper took a whooping $10 off the ticket because I was wearing my seat belt. Jeez, thanks so much for that break sir!) The trooper had to break the law several times to pull me over. First, he cut across 3 inbound lanes, then a VERY large grass median (at least 100-200 feet wide), cut across 2 more outbound lanes and do well over 120+ MPH, in order to pull me over and give, me, an "out of state'r" a ticket that he knows will not be contested in court because it would cost $500 in plane tickets alone just to get to court. ( If I was a Wyoming resident I can almost guarantee I would have been given a warning or a lesser ticket price; bullying at its finest, by Wyoming's finest) Wyoming is a broke, desperate, and desolate joke of a state and I will never travel though, nor spend my money in Wyoming again. How is it that our federal court systems allow a state to charge so much for such a petty offence? I do not understand how Wyoming is able to get away with this kind of greed. P.S. Due to both my infraction of the law and the absurd ticket price I am now on the verge of homelessness and unable to make my rent for the next 3 months. I just want to thank Wyoming and especially the trooper that pulled me over for making my life a living hell.

My mother and little sister from Colorado were in town for lunch and had been involved in a collision, with only black eye, bumps and bruises we were very fortunate everyone walked away. Although the accident could have been my Mom's fault Trooper Rick Colling was the most humble and respectful gentleman any man could ask for to assist the most important ladies in one's life. Mr Colling and his department are the exact example of morals and character that should be shown in every state, and equally important that the citizens of this country show the men and women in law enforcement the respect they deserve. Thank you Mr.Colling and the Wyoming Highway Patrol !! With all respect, Ryan Lynch

Just another place to get stopped so the State can pay the bills. But of course not regarding how it impacts other peoples lives. I got wrote up for such petty things.

After running out of gas 20 miles from anything on highway 80, a highway patrolwoman was nice enough to bring me a couple gallons of gas from their shop to get me back on my way. She was very polite and understanding of my stupidity in letting myself get into this situation. All in all the best experience I have ever had with law enforcement.
