I sit on the balcony The weather is cool because there is light rain. I really like the atmosphere at this pool. Every time I sit and listen to the sound of water from the pool, It makes me feel comfortable. And sometimes I will see Crystal Rivera taking visitors to tour the apartment walk pass my balcony Where I live regularly I saw she smile and tried to explain how to use the pool, gym, and Grill cooking around the pool. She was working diligently, I could tell from her smile. And besides that, every time I have a problem, I go into the offices leasing Jose Mendez .there is a person who always helps me. Whenever I need him to solve a problem, he intends to help willingly and quickly. As much as he can do I feel safe and comfortable here.
From day one I have had issues with village at bellaire. Communication and safety are priority to me and there is often lack of communication and follow through. On my scheduled move in day, in the morning I was informed by the leasing agent I worked with at the time that my apartment wasn’t ready yet mind you I flew from out of town with nowhere else to go. She said she was on vacation so she didn’t check until that morning so why didn’t anyone else check to see if it was ready or not, especially since I called the day before to verify if I needed anything else for my move in. Residents are supposed to receive a gate code for guests to enter…I NEVER in the full 14 months that I rented had a working guest gate code. Their reasoning had been they were switching management companies and needed things to be released so they could move forward. But as a resident how is that supposed to be my problem? Office staff is a toss up, at one point they were on constant rotation that you did not know who staff was and it took forever for formal introductions to be done. Maintenance is also a toss up about getting things fixed in a timely manner. If it’s not what they deem an emergency, good luck. I had an issue with my thermostat which I informed the leasing office about on three occasions and finally emailed the assistant community manager…never received a response. The gate is constantly broken and left wide open, as an open invitation to anyone to walk onto the premises. The messaging from the leasing office is that they are not responsible for our safety and we need to take precautions, etc. However, this is also leased as a gated community. So while residents are taking precautions the leasing staff/ management is not doing their part regarding the property. There have been numerous break ins and thefts, not only of peoples apartments but of their cars. Move out…I was scheduled to do my move out walk through at a specific time, why did it take over an hour for someone to come do it after I had to call back a bunch of times. No I can’t come back another day. They do a terrible spray paint job and leaving paint all over the apartment, and gave me a sink that was impossible to get all the way clean. The pool this summer was constantly unswimmable, due to looking green, due to the presence of algae. Definitely a lack of upkeep. The gym never has any cleaning materials to wipe down machines, missing weights and dirty bathrooms that almost never have toilet paper. At this point it is probably a combination of RPM living management company and the hired staff that run the leasing office who are not doing their jobs. You can’t expect to ignore resident concerns and have good retention rate for residents. Putting bandaids on the issues will not actually resolve anything. Pros: big sized apartments for lower cost than a lot of other places. Close to downtown/midtown and other things They did upgrade the pool area furniture and amenity room furniture.
BEWARE!!! DO NOT rent here. This place desires O stars. My move-in date was August 26th,2023. When I arrived I received my welcome folder from Dione. A male property worker overheard my unit number and stated that my unit had some MINOR paint on the floor that needed to be cleaned up. YEA RIGHT!!! As you can see from the photos, there were MAJOR issues in this apartment on my move-in date. When I did my initial walk through with Dione I saw trash on the floor, a dried up yellow stain on the floor, dirty sink, dirty oven, dirty pantry, paint splatter on floor, no shelving in master closet, standing water and mold in the dishwasher and all over racks. The apartment was so filthy I was offered to have my stuff moved into a whole other unit, since I had already paid movers to pick up at the apartment I was moving from at 1 pm and then drop off at Villages of Bellaire. Luckily, my lease at the apartment I was moving from didn’t end until August 31st. I didn’t even want to spend the night at this property. After speaking with the property manager, Cynthia, I decided to cancel my lease. I moved all my stuff off that property and returned my keys within 48 hours of my move-in date. Save yourself the money and headache and rent somewhere tenants are actually valued. I’m still waiting to hear back from the property manager.
9/1/23 Update real-time Since my rating 7mins ago they have sent maintenance. My sink and disposal is now fixed. 9/1/23 Update I finally was able to meet with Jose after posting my last google review. First thing he mentions “we are trying to get our ratings up on google” he proceeded to tell me I wrote my review out of anger and I explained to him it was an honest review with facts and evidence of property negligence. They finally addressed the wasp, still not pool keys and they have yet to fix my bathroom surface since move in May 23, 2023. I have attempted to be patient with this property but the reviews I now agree with. My sink has been clogged and the disposal has been out for 2 weeks I submitted a maintenance request, called the front office 22 times no one answers and even sent emails. I will not renewing my lease and will be pursuing litigation. ****updated**** Management has yet to make any updates on my apartment still blood stains on our stairs. Has not been power washed. BEWARE management steals packages too ironic how I have been complaining in office and via email and my package is the only package left open in the office I might add with the contents missing. Called spoke to Jose who “pretends” to look for my package then tells me no there’s nothing, good thing I walked over there because sure enough my empty box was sitting in their lobby. Pool is closed every other day, have yet to receive proper keys to enter the gates of the pool so you have to reach over scratch your arm and enter very ghetto. Poor poor management Jose Dionne Jesse all of them! **** ****I’m a new Houstonian from NY and The Village at Bellaire is where I call my new home. The grounds appear to well maintenance after walking around a bit. I love the different amenities pool and gym. I saw a sauna/wet room but not sure that they are active. My apartment is 2nd floor the stairway could be a little cleaner not sure if they tend to power wash our floor. Haven’t met any of my neighbors as of yet. Dionne has been instrumental to my move and has been so welcoming. I hope i continue to have a positive relationship with management. I gave 4 stars because moving in I did notice a lot of mold and things that should’ve been taken care of prior to my move as I secured this unit about a month ago. I hope being a new tenant my work order is made priority only time will tell. Outside of that, loving the property so far.
My boyfriend and I have absolutely loved living at this complex. Since the remodeling & management changes, it has been great! We are close distance to any place we need to go and have never had any issues with neighbors or other residents. This complex is very pet friendly, which we loooooovveee! They always have treats in the office : The office staff is amazing and so helpful. The complex is great with having events/food vendors come to the complex which we always enjoy. The units themselves are nice and spacious, and honestly a great price for the rates. We love it here!
Making this review under a fake account due to the owner being very retaliatory after bad reviews, they will dox you, beware. This complex for at least 2 years has had 0 security, the gate has been broken for 4 months, wide open. I will add a few pictures of what their actions have allowed criminals to do. It was only after 20+ break ins happened that they invested half a rent payment into some cheap security cameras at the still broken wide open gate. For $1400 a month, this is a scam. I’m ashamed to live here. THE COMPLEX RIGHT NEXT TO US HAS GATE SECURITY AND GAURD THAT DRIVES AROUND 24/7
I have lived here over 3-1/2 years and absolutely love my apartment and the new staff. I just renewed my lease because RPM has been working diligently to upgrade the property since purchasing it a year ago. They inherited a mess, but maintenance requests are no longer ignored, and the assistant manager is especially attentive to resident needs. The pool and the amenities building are lovely. Being able to have an apartment with a yard is a blessing. The complex is clean, safe, and conveniently located.
I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to Dionne Flora for her exceptional service. Her friendly and accommodating demeanor created a welcoming environment right from our first interaction. Dionne Flora displayed remarkable efficiency in guiding us through property viewings and completing the leasing procedures. Her prompt responses to our inquiries and proactive approach were truly commendable, making the entire process swift and hassle-free. I am grateful for Dionne Flora's dedication and exceptional service, which not only met but exceeded our expectations. If anyone is seeking a friendly living environment and neighbors, I think you can come here the village at Bellaire. And if you desires a seamless experience coupled with excellent customer service here, don’t miss out on the services of this team, of course I wholeheartedly recommend Dionne Flora.
This apartment complex is beautiful, until you move in. While touring management was kind and really made this place out to be amazing. I feel very let down. They had at least a months notice that I would be moving in and knew what time we would arrive. Management seemed unprepared. When we walked in, a maintenance worker was still fixing the A/C and changing out the lock. He did a horrible job on the lock as part of it broke off. When I requested it to be fixed, a guy came and said he fixed it but did nothing to it. Eventually after asking for it to be fixed AGAIN, it was. My water filter and dishwasher had been broken since day one. My water filter was fixed after weeks and my dishwasher took a month and 6 days. My dishwasher barley works. It doesn’t clean anything, it needs to be replaced. Whoever paints these apartments is flat out lazy. Management failed to tell me that my mailing address would be the pin oak address and not the Newcastle address and failed to tell me what the guest gate code was until I asked. I didn’t receive my mail key for about a week either. Also, you’ll have zero idea as to when maintenance plans on coming and as a woman who lives alone that makes me uncomfortable. For the positives: it’s a pretty complex with a very nice pool with most of its management being kind. It’s not a horrible complex but it’s definitely a big disappointment compared to how they present themselves
I have lived here since 2017 and I personally love it. The current leasing staff is probably some of the most personable I've met during my stay here. Crystal, Jesse, and Jose are all wonderful people and always so helpful even when I'm sure they have a million things going on. There's never been a lack of communication anytime I've had an issue, which brings me to maintenance. I have personally never had to wait more than a day for my maintenance request to be completed or at the very least, acknowledged with a plan in place. There's a reason I've been here over 6 years. The combination of the location, the size of the units, and the price honestly can't be beat.
