If I could give Dr. Wu 10 stars, I would. He is truly the best in his field with the ability to understand your pain, even with minimal info, and he has a wonderfully kind, happy sometimes silly demeanor. Each session, he uses a combination of acupuncture, cupping, and meridian massage in a very no-frills office space. He has drastically improved my quality of life where past chiropractors and masseuses could not. Previously, I suffered from chronic pain since I was young, and other doctors could only provide temporary relief. I was at a point where I was seeing a chiropractor once per week. With Dr. Wu, I see him once every 3+ months as “maintenance” or during a random flare-up, and I have been a loyal patient for over 3 years. I've also referred many friends. As of 2022, he charges $65 cash-only and appointments are primarily walk-in he might give you a general time frame at best if you call ahead.
I had great experiences in the past with Dr. Wu but a recent visit left me without the results I asked for. He treated me for something else that I didn't ask for or knew was an issue non health threatening, which is unlike him. Maybe he misheard me through my mask or maybe it's early onset of dementia because I specifically told him what I needed to be "fixed" and he didn't deliver.
He's bilingual so communication is not an issue at all. He charges $60 for each visit and he doesn't take insurance. He treats my whole family because he combines different traditional treatment methods in one visit to expedite the healing process. He's the best one I've gone to so far, and I believe his specialty is treating chronic illnesses.
Obviously, the doctor uses amazing acupuncture techniques and only three sessions to solve the problems which I suffered for half a year. He also advices on other parts in terms of improving my overall health, for example, less desert and eggs. I reviewed the rating with one star , and I think there is a misunderstanding for traditional Chinese medicine. Although Dr.wu is famous for bone/muscle injuries, he has a holist view for human health. Prevention is always better than cure. You are what you eat. He was trying to persuade that patient to be vegetarian because he may already know that that patient has other health issues internally beyond back pain or whatever. That issue may be caused by eating too much fish or meat. Actually it is not his job to warn you or prevent you from bigger health issues beyond what you asked for. He did anyway. Whether or not listen, your choice.
This Dr. seems popular, as I saw many people were waiting for his treatment before and after me. But I had such a bad experience. I came there after searching Google, bcz my regular acupuncturist was not available on that day. I was suffering right foot pain, ankle, and knee. After I explained the Dr. about it, he assumed that I had back pain. He started doing acupuncture treatment and extremely strong massage on my back while he was saying "No pain, no sure!!". Well, I get that some pain causes from back. But I knew mine was not. Because of my previous injury from a sport I've been doing. At the end, I asked him "What about foot pain? ankle? knee?", he answered, "You eat meat, and fish! That's bad for you! If you become a vegetarian, no pain on your foot!" which DOES NOT MAKE ANY SENSE!! Well, I ended up extra pain and BIG BUMP on my back after his "treatment", and I couldn't walk straight. So I had to make an appo with my regular Dr.. The treatment was clearly wrong, and my regular guy fixed it. NEVER GO TO THIS GUY!!!
Dr Wu is amazing!!! I am a Chinese Medicine Practitioner and he is my go-to man! He also treats a friend and his father who has been practicing for 30+ yrs. Dr Wu has saved me on many occasions- from colds, stress, and a nasty cough I got right before my wedding! It totally cleared with his treatment of points, herbs, and cupping. The man knows what he is doing and he is so kind with a great bed-side manner. Go to him, you will be so happy you did!
There was a point where I was literally bed ridden for 3 months from a rare medical condition that caused extreme pain. After the first session I was moving like normal and after the second visit I was completely pain free. He is magical.
Truly amazing, I don’t normally write reviews, but this guy’s so good! I walked in here, didn’t explain anything to him and he’s already telling me what’s wrong with me and started giving me advice, and everything is on point!
Dr. Wu is amazing.
