YMCA Camp Mohawk

Camp Mohawk is the best place for young girls to go and grow in themselves and with others. It helps boost leadership, it empowers girls to be themselves, and it implements lasting friendships. I've been going to Mohawk since I was 9 years old, was a camper for 6 years, a CIT, and have been on staff for 5. There's no other place I'd want to spend my summer. Each year I go I learn more about myself and I meet the most influential people in my life. Camp strives to help every girl be empowered, smart, and make a change in their own community. I could not be happier about my camp experience.

I just started going to Mohawk last year, and I am so eager to contuine to go. The staff is friendly, the activites are so fun, and all the girls you meet make you feel welcomed. Whether it is your 1st year at camp or your 10th, you will never forget the Mohawk Spirit! I can't wait to go back!

Camp Mohawk is a place where girls are able to grow as a person and develop a greater relationship with others and nature. At Camp Mohawk girls have the opportunities to do many activities not available for them at home while making friendships that will last them a lifetime. As an 8 year camper, CIT, and now a counselor, I can honestly say that Camp Mohawk is one of the best places and has helped me become the person I am today and to gain the confidence to reach for my dreams.

Camp Mohawk has been a part of my life for over 12 years - and it is a place that will always be important to me. As a past camper, counselor, and supervisor, I have been able to gain so many important skills as well as have the best summers of my life. Mohawk is a place that is like home to me as well as so many other girls. It's an experience like no other. One of the mottos of Camp Mohawk is that "The Spirit Lasts a Lifetime," and it is the best way to describe the memories, friendships, and lessons gained from time at Mohawk.
