The Zimmerli Art Museum is truly an incredible place, with the kind of art, artifacts, and even war memorabilia like journals and other writings, that will pull you in and engage you to the point where all you're really thinking about is walking around and taking it all in. It is a place to get absorbed, while you are learning a lot about many different artists and sculptors, and writers that you probably have never heard of. I wish I could remember more about it, but I went there 4 years ago, and I don't live on the East coast or anywhere near New Jersey, so I may never be back. But if I had to pick a museum I would like to revisit, it would be the Zimmerli Art Museum. Please avail yourself of it! Note that it is also on the campus of Rutgers University, which is lovely, with its own historical buildings and beautiful, lush lawns and gardens, so make sure that you walk around the campus as well as visiting the library while you are at the site. Obviously since you are back East, you would want to go in May or June, or early September. It's nice if you could go after college is out for the year, or before it starts up again in the fall. You will have a wonderful, relaxing day!

I give 5 stars for the small cafe inside the museum. Coolest place in Rutgers. Definitely worth to go and spend a full afternoon in this hidden small area with even more sense of art than the art museum.

What a heartbreaking and well curated exhibition of non conformist Russian art.
Mans inhumanity to man never ceases to amaze me. It's very inspiring that artists continue to create and inspire despite the risks and dire circumstances .
Such a nice museum. The staff was very helpful. The other exhibits we're also well done.

A beautiful exhibit of French lithographs, large and thorough and well documented. It appears to be quite a good quality museum.
