Excellent service! We were thinking about getting a new vacuum but hubby remembered there was a vacuum repair in Appleton. Took it there, within a couple of days they called and we ok'd the repairs and a week later we had our vacuum back. Runs like new. Great price and setvice.

Mike came on time, helped us make a decision where to place the system, and left the area clean.  Highly recommend A1 vacuum & Radon for a Radon mitigation system.

We recently sold our home and live out of state. During the home inspection Radon levels were found to be elevated.  We contacted the A1 to install a Radon mitigation system.  On top of being out of state our home presented a few challenges due to the floor plan.  The technician who showed up surveyed the house and we troubleshot over the phone to get optimum performance of the system.  After climbing through the entire attic which is like an episode of American Ninja Warriors and looking for every available option through the rest of the house he choose a spot in the basement which was very challenging but the only spot to get the best performance.  Expecting to have additional fees due to the extra work, I was surprised my bill was as quoted.  My entire experience was fantastic.  The technician treated my home like it was his own and the customer service from the office was equally great. Most importantly my Randon level went from 6.8 to 0.7.   I’m going to have them install a system in my other home.

I had a great experience working with this company.  They were very professional yet down to earth and understanding. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for  any help with radon issues. The sales rep Adam I worked with was great and so was the gentleman that came to install the actual device. My parents also had them install a vacuum and radon system in  their home and we were also extremely satisfied.

What a great company! A-1 fixed our radon problem in the new home we bought. Radon levels were really high, above 10. After the system was installed levels came back at 0.7. Very nice installers, and installed a nice looking system through our garage.

About a year ago we put new carpeting in our cottage not realizing the new denser carpeting isn't compatible with our power head.  I went to A-1 with my current power head and a sample of the new carpet since this is where it was originally purchased.  It was explained to me carpet manufactures made a change and that I would need to purchase a new power head called the "Edge" which is height adjustable, $350.00.  Although we set it to the highest setting, it struggled from day one, but since we didn't live there and it wasn't used much it wasn't a huge priority.  While using it a few weeks back, Lori pointed out it was making a loud clicking sound.  Upon inspection the timing belt was very loose and skipping.  Timing belts don't stretch.  I took it in to A-1 see what could be done.  A lady working there put in a new belt and brush roll which made no difference.  I was told to come in when the owner Paul was there.  I went to see Paul & explained the issue and he didn't want to hear any of it.  Instead he wanted me to leave it there and charge me for what I already knew, the belt skips.  Frustrated I took it home and called the manufacturer.  What I learned is this: The "Edge" power head is not designed for today's thick dense carpeting, meaning Paul sold me something not designed for my needs.  The "Edge Soft" is designed for that purpose and Paul doesn't even sell them.  I called the manufacturer and spoke with an engineer and Brian sent me drawings of the "edge soft" so that I could make the modifications myself.  I never had to deal with such arrogance from anyone in customer service as I did that day trying to speak with Paul at A-1.  None of the above should have happened.  Paul obviously doesn't understand his own product line. NEVER again. If the system would allow, I would give it zero stars

A-1 radon is second to none when it comes to service.  They literally bend over backwards to fit my schedule.  As a realtor, my schedule is busy enough and Adam steps in and takes the worry of radon right off my plate.  From testing to installation, he handles the whole thing and it makes life easy for me and my clients. Their prices won't be beat and their service speaks for itself.  Nobody does it better
