This is the best dental clinic I've ever been to. I've been a patient for seven years and counting. They are extremely professional, friendly and precise in their work. Always a first-class experience. I see Dr. Fidel but I trust everyone at the practice is great. Highly recommended!
The space is modern and clean. It's easy to get an appointment. Ladies at reception are always kind. I've had two hygienists in my time going here and both were professional, kind, and competent. These all earn 4-5 stars separately. The low rating comes due to a disappointing experience with Dr. Sinno. I came to see her due to some tooth pain and while she couldn't see anything on the x-ray, she thought it might be a micro-crack in the tooth and suggested taking ibuprofen, waiting a couple weeks, and let's see what happens. She hoped that the pain would go away on its own if the inflammation came down. She didn't want to recommend any further testing because it would be "invasive." This seemed like strange advice so a few days later I went to a different dentist in Logan Square for a second opinion. That dentist said, "Your dentist is right, there is nothing on the x-ray, HOWEVER, I can literally see the crack in your tooth just by looking at it. See?" He took a picture and showed me, sure enough there was a crack. He said we need to do something right away or it risks cracking all the way through, infection, etc. Dentist #2 got me an appointment with a specialist a little over a week later. Unfortunately, during my waiting period I bit down on something while eating and cracked my tooth all the way through which led to having my tooth extracted. I can't help but think that if I had gotten better advice from my dentist sooner, I could have saved my tooth. Needless to say, I will not be returning to this practice anytime soon.
This place is a mess, I don’t even want to type out each instance of unprofessional conduct. They have accused me of not having insurance multiple times. Quoted me $750 for a deep cleaning today after doing partial cleaning. I got a crown from them a couple months ago which seems to have turned out okay but I will never be back after today and I would never recommend them to anyone. Unorganized, expensive, bad communication. Will leave you waiting for 30 minutes at a time with no explanation I was on time for my appointment No thanks, I’ll go elsewhere.
A Brush Above Family dental is just that a family when you walk in it seems like they really get to know you they ask you how you’ve been & it all feels so genuine. I enjoy that! I am having work done with Invisalign and it’s all working out so well I’m so excited that I’ve gotten it done and that they’re helping me along this journey. Today I also had a cleaning done by Krystal! Which was Divine I felt so super comfortable. She asked me all the right questions, and really listened to what I had to say. Letting her know where my sensitive spots were, this was the most comfortable cleaning I have ever had. I made sure to set my next cleaning with her! No discomfort whatsoever. Thank you brush above for all the great work that you do!
Alma is a wonderful hygienist, and helps relieve my anxiety and makes the experience fun. She's very thorough, skilled, gentle, and kind. My teeth look and feel great!
If I could give 10 stars I would! I have been on a 2 year journey with another practice of pulling down an impacted canine. During that time my partner and I got engaged and began planning our wedding. Dr. Gusmond and her team, the angels that they are, brought me in a little over a week before our wedding day and made my smile absolutely beautiful by shaping bonding to make my smile line seamless. I am going to try to post pictures. This practice also brought me in the day before I left for the wedding to secure the bonding! Setting the artistry, kindness and impactful patient care aside, this practice is immaculately clean, you do not feel rushed, location is ideal, parking is manageable and each additional step taken in these wild times of covid are explained to the patient to make us feel more at ease.
I went to A Brush Above today for my first visit, and they were wonderful! I just moved to Logan Square and was nervous about finding a new dentist with whom to establish care. I pass their office every day and decided to give it a try. Isabel, the dental hygienist was very thorough, made me feel comfortable, and gave great education about my teeth and caring for them most effectively. I will definitely be going back!
Do not start a relationship with this office if your schedule ever changes. I am a long time loyal customer with a family and tried to change my daughters cleaning for when she was home for college and they said no… not even a wait list or we can squeeze her in. Today I called because I realized that I have a conflict with my cleaning next week and they said they can’t get me in until April! Seriously? Is this how you treat your patients. I asked for my families records and she said fine and did not even apologize. Find another dentist if you are just starting to look.
Wonderful. Alma and Dr. Fidel are great. Alma gave me a thorough and painless cleaning, explaining all x-rays and photos and recommendations for care. She used updated technology and techniques that make the cleaning much less uncomfortable. Front office staff is kind and helpful. No one tried to upsell me on anything! I've had bad experiences in dentist offices before and I'm so happy to have found a place for dental care that is respectful and knowledgeable.
I originally had an appointment at another dentist office this morning, but due to snow and traffic they cancelled my appointment so called around to different offices for a Saturday appointment. Initially I was told that I could only have a ortho consult for Invisalign done today but somehow the amazing team here was able to fit me in for a cleaning, x-rays and take care of all of my dental needs and questions in the same day at the last minute. Thanks for taking great care of me today!
