Monticello FL has a Good Sam member benefit. A camping place you're going to like that is the easiest check in. Our picture is taken to show vacancy camp sites available on the day of our visit.
This is a perfect stop for a night when traveling. The grounds are kept nicely and there is an in ground pool. It’s right off of I-10 and 19. Super easy to get in and out and there are pull throughs so you don’t have to unhook. The hosts were super friendly and made sure our stay was comfortable. We will definitely be back.
We stayed for one night and easy access from I-10. The campground has plenty of shade from pine trees and full hookups. It is a very quiet except for the expected road noise from I-10. Bathrooms are older but clean. No toilet paper in the ladies bathhouse. We will definitely stay here on our way thru again.
Spacious sites with picnic table and full hookups Honor system check-in service. Laundry onsite consists of two coin washers and one dryer but the dryer is at least free. My first site was over an open leak of the septic system. The box was finicky and went out numerous times until it blew and burnt my surge protector and power cord. I had to pay electrician to come rewire, replace and repair several issues from incident the box next to my site had same issues+ having a built in fire ant nest right into the pole and flipped so regularly I had to switch sites completely to other side of park. Shower and bathrooms are clean unless you count the hoards of black wasps just stood by with my flying insect spray to keep them away from the showers while the kids washed On site groundsman, came by on riding lawn mower and happily unplugged my ac with zero permission or warning and then rode away after he was done leaving it undone without an apology or at least plugging it back in. *"Playground" consists of one chain link swing. *"Pool" consists of empty hole with a foots worth of shallow mildewed and murky water with happy little active creatures swimming within surrounded by large grass overgrowth but at least fenced so no one falls in I've been told it will be " repaired" soon, but informed by long-term residents it's been this way for several months. *"Clubhouse consists of sectional couch, empty unplugged mini fridge, dvd player with no tv and a microwave that doesn't warm. **Lastly, man in pickup truck shows up about 6pm to my camper and announces "the owner of the park says it's time to move on, you have until 5 pm tomorrow to leave the property" I call the office to be told that WAS the owner and they did not leave any reason as to why they wanted us to go. No disputes with the office or any of the other friendly patrons. Just that's what he said so it needs to be left at just that" STAY FAR FAR away!!!!!
Nice, quiet and peaceful. Not much amenities on gravel, dirt road. Honor system for $30 a night. Back in or pull through, basic or 30/50 amp full hookups. Treed level spaces gravel in dirt. Well shaded with tall pines. Great for a few nights if you want some quiet. Laundry and pool on site.
I have been to some really great concerts at this stadium. The music sounds great through the entire area. Parking is alright. Depending on the size of the event get there early to be able to get in their gated parking. Overflow parking is normally offered by local citizens for a nominal donation.
I can’t believe this is a Good Sam park! Self check in is a mess. We paid $35 Good Sam rate. We do have full hookups but there is grass and weeds a foot tall on our site and the restrooms and showers are horrible, as is the pool. This place is definitely not as advertised.
Men's showers were DISGUSTING, mold on the ceiling and on the shower curtain. One was missing a large amount of the floor tiles. I wouldn't want to use either. The camp site itself was fine but nothing special.
I just want to put it out there what kind of ppl you will be dealing with if you decide to stay here, I worked for the campground as the host for the last 6 months with my 2 dogs with no issues, decided to quit and go on the road with my husband for awhile so we spoke to the owner and left on good terms with her, leaving our camper in dry storage there, decided to go back after a few months on the road, paid rent went to buy groceries and the next day had the owners son knocking on the door saying that I couldn't have my dogs? The same 2 dogs I had when I was hosting? Then an hour later they have someone from the other campground they own Tallahassee East, call me and tell me that it was a family decision and they just don't want me there, needless to say I was shocked but ok I will leave, without my rent back but I left, the reason I quit was due to the owners son, he's a liar and a theif, I made it known and he decided to kick me out for it so stay at your own risk! Very poor customer service and unkept grounds but it's a self service so...you get what you give
I was told that any unit older then 10 yrs of age would only be allowed for a night or 2 after inquiring about a few months stay. I was told this was because of the parks image with older equipment would turn other vacationers away. Well my rig is in mint condition inside and out but they didn't care. They also didn't like it when I mentioned that if they are so worried about their image then they might want to mow the 2 foot tall grass at the KOA and Campers world 1 owner owns both camp grounds and perhaps cleaning up the facilities would be a great start not to mention all of the busted up and nasty converted school bus and dirty trailers they had at both locations. I lived at the Campers world for a year around 98-99 and the owners were amazing and on point. Sorry but these people really disappointed me especially after I called a month in advance and gave them all my info including my trailer yr make and model telling them that's I'm moving back to Fla and needed a spot until I bought a house. I'd suggest staying at the truckstop before I'd recommend these places. Here are some pictures to show that my unit isn't a dumpster fire...
