Out of all the pharmacies I've dealt with I will always prefer Meijer. They work with me, help teach me things about refills, my son's prescriptions and have no problem answering any questions I have no matter how dumb they can be. When my son's glucagon prescription couldn't be filled because they didn't have it and didn't know when they would ever get it they let me know what to do to get it transferred elsewhere so we wouldn't be without. I have yet to have dealt with anyone rude or discourteous.
I was told my medication would be ready in 30 minutes. I show up two hours later and was told I couldnt refill my script without doctor approval. I give her my doctors after hours phone and she says she will call and she did not. She refused to take my phone and speak to my doctor. I have narcolepsy with cataplexy and need my medication to prevent seizures and can not drive without it and now have to miss work. The doctor also screamed at my fiance saying that he needs to refer to her as doctor and that she would not refill my script unless speaking to my doctor. I called for her and gave her the number and she still refused. Her name is Kim and I had to call corporate over the issue. Also filing a lawsuit.
First they do a good job of getting the prescriptions right and working with insurance. However if you need your prescription quickly forget about it. It's usually a 2 hour wait if you need it today and they don't like to fill it while you wait. I also understand that working in a pharmacy can be very frustrating but they treat every customer as if they are a bad customer. They also don't notify you if they are out of a medicine before you come to pick it up. For those of us who live a good distance away, it's very frustrating. I am forced to get my prescription here because my local pharmacy doesn't accept my insurance. I don't like leaving bad reviews and I'm not singling out any individual employee. I'm sure there are good employees but the pharmacy is not customer friendly. You really shouldn't have to wait for 2 hours to get your prescription.
Had to switch from CVS pharmacy because it took 3+ weeks for them to refill my prenatal vitamins. Meijer offers compounding medicine as well.
This pharmacy has been so much easier on me compared to CVS! I get text messages when my prescriptions are ready and the cost and they even automatically apply my Good RX code to it. They’ve always been quick and easy to get my meds and they’re a lot friendlier here!
I understand that the workers deal with difficult people all day but I’ve repeatedly had rude interactions. I also shouldn’t have to be the go between for the pharmacist and doctor. Ultimately I had to go to a different pharmacy to get my prescription filled.
Great pharmacy! Medications ready quick & most staff very helpful! They have their own discount program if you ask
They would not honor the price listed on good RX, because they said they got their product from a more expensive manufacturer. The prescription was $62, but $33 with Good RX. I couldn't wait and switch pharmacies because my son needed the medicine today. Just not happy with price and no help with getting it switched.
Meijer Pharmacy works great at switching between my insurance and good RX. They always fill my prescription with whichever one gives me the best price. Very happy with our service here!
Horrible experience!!! Won't be back, it's not worth any cost savings. Dropped a script off on Friday at 1:00, came back an hour and a half later to find out they only have 12 of 28 pills available. Told to come back on Monday for the remaining pills. My husband returns to pick up the remaining pills on Monday and they can't find them. There were pills in our pick up bag but they weren't the right pills. Pharmacy tech says if we would've come in on Saturday for the prescription they had the pills available. WTH?! we were told they wouldn't be available until Monday. So now it's Monday evening and they don't have anymore available. Needless to say prescription has been transferred to another pharmacy to be filled. Meijer is unreliable!!!!!
