Very nice, quiet, clean place for laundry, with extremely helpful staff and reasonable prices note that I am from SF, so my idea of reasonable may not be the same as yours. This is probably the fanciest looking laundromat I have ever been to--the location and the decor are way too cute for just a place to wash clothes--and as a bonus, it wasn't filled with screaming children. There is a wash/dry/fold service as well for those who don't have time to wait and $1.25/lb to burn, and single load packs of detergent are available at the vending machine, which accepts the same laundry card $2 for a new one as the washers and dryers. This really is a great spot, if nothing else because you can grab a cannoli from Mike's around the corner as you wait for your clothes.
The new prices are INSANE It cost $4.50 to run a washer in the smallest washer and $2 to run the smallest dryer for only 20mins. With each additional 5mins costing you another $.50. If you need anything other than a small washer it’ll cost you even more… I will be walking a little bit further to go to a much less expensive laundromat now ~ the North End has so many you don’t need this place…
My boyfriend and I come here every couple of weeks to do our laundry, and even though I feel like it can get a little expensive, the woman that owns it is very nice, and the building is well-kept with a good amount of washers/dryers.
Staff were about as helpful as wet cardboard, and quite rude. The money card systems were ok, the only money card system that accepts debit/credit is finicky and doesn't read the money card most of the time, bring cash for the other money card machine which is less temperamental; side-note there isn't a money changer machine, but just a block away is the Bank of America Financial Center branch, with full service ATMs. The machines are varied in size and quite efficient, my oversized blanket fit easily into the washing machine and dryer that I chose, and only took a little under an hour before I was done. Not sure if I'll return or not.
The person working there was super helpful. I was traveling and needed laundry, she walked me through the details and calculated how much I would need so I didn't load the card with more than I needed. The space was clean, the machines worked well. I don't know how the price compares to other places but overall it seemed a good value considering I even had to buy the soap.
BEWARE - No restrooms on site or around the location. No PARKING CARD ONLY - COST $2.00 Then load 60lbs. WASHER - $9.00 per load - 30lbs WASHER - $5 and some change Dryers - $1.25 for 20 minutes pretty large can do 1 King or queen comforter with 2 cycles There are patio metal seats and coffee tables but no tables for laptops or eating. It’s pretty clean but there is a ton of out of order washers leaving it limited when full of customers. I’ve been here a few times. The staff is depending on who’s working. Tonight the worker is very unfriendly and seems bothered by questions. Idk if he’s just too young and hasn’t figured out what actual customer service looks like or if he’s naturally arrogant. Please train employees on customer service ethics. It’s the face and heart of your business.
Staff is practically non existent. Always watching their cell phone on high volume at the desk even though they placed signs to be respectful with phones. You have to buy a card for $2 in cash before adding any value with a credit card and you get NO receipt because the receipt printer doesn't work. Machines work well.
Bring cash!!! Decent laundromat. You have to buy a $2 card - CASH ONLY Then you can add value to the card. Using credit card it has a minimum of $10. Cash you can load the value of bills - no change returned, no coins. Small washer $3.75, medium $5.25. Dryers $1.25 and up.
Most upscale and cleanest laundromat I’ve been and, I’ll confess, I haven’t been in many. I only use them when traveling for more than a week. The place is attended and staff is very nice and helpful, especially with the card system they use here. I’m used to laundromats that use quarters so I appreciated the assistance provided by the attendant. I felt the prices were reasonable. I would use New Spin again.
It is clean, the machines work well, and most important it's open late. Unfortunately the staff are super rude. Today I went to get my clothes from the dryer over 10 minutes before closing time and the lady had the lights off and the door locked and I had to make a *huge* fuss for her to let me in to get my clothes. She wouldn't even turn on the lights once she finally let me in.
