In 2009, A Spirit of Joy Organic Skin Care was born out of maternal love and a desire to provide a safe alternative to commercial lotions and moisturizers. After an eye opening revelation about the typical ingredients in lotions and creams, we decided to create a moisturizer that would both pamper and protect the skin, without exposing our bodies to unnecessary additives, chemicals and carcinogens. The baseline criteria was, “if my child eats this, it won’t harm them.” After many trials, the winning formula for Organic Double Whipped Body Butter emerged. Eight years later, we now offer a variety of products that all uphold the original commitment. It brought great joy to materialize the vision of creating a product that your skin loves, using ingredients that provide love to your skin.

Our Whipped Body Butters begin with the finest unrefined organic, Fair Trade African Shea butter and the highest quality unrefined organic, Fair Trade cocoa butter. These butters are then whipped for hours into a luxurious cream that melts into your skin, creating an intensive moisturizing treat to pamper the body’s largest organ – your skin.
All A Spirit of Joy products are handcrafted, vegan, and made from fair trade ingredients. Our products are packaged in glass containers, in order to avoid the leeching of various toxins that occurs when products are stored in plastic containers.
