My nephew wanted to try some authentic Indian and he was NOT disappointed!!! The owner was super nice and his advice on how eating and drinking too much cold things helps extinguish the body’s fire metabolism is honestly advise I will take with! His food is a MUST have!!!!
Tried this today after traveling 40 minutes for Indian food. I will definitely be back. The food had so much flavor. I got the jack fruit Tai curry, cashew pie, and cauliflower curry. I need more! Just a heads up it is a little food truck all fresh ingredients. If if looks like it's empty and sign is off just call the number and the guy is there in like two minutes. Worth every bit
For the high prices I felt the quality was severely lacking. Dishes were bland with very little spices and flavor. We had two different appetizers and two different entrees and naan bread. He handed our stack of food to us without putting it in a bag... No napkins unless requested. Food took an hour to prepare... Pretty disappointing overall.
Best Indian food in Ohio. Hardworking man who makes sure the food is cooked perfectly.
This is the best Indian food I have ever had and I've been to various restaurants with great reviews. He makes your food when you order it so it takes a little time but it is very much worth the wait. The dishes are absolutely flavorful and the portions he serves are substantial! I didn't even think to take a picture of my food because the smell, the warmth, and all the flavors invite you to stop and love life! hehe If you're in Yellow Springs, please treat yourself to this exceptional cuisine! P.S. And there's Ice Cream right next door! Vegetarian options: Super satisfying veggie options. My favorite: Veggie Kofta. Dietary restrictions: He makes the food to order, so he can surely accomodate various dietary needs. Parking: Plenty of parking. Kid-friendliness: The man is very friendly and playful, welcoming of the whole family. Wheelchair accessibility: No steps, curbs, or inclines.
They may have great food but what good is it if they have the worst customer experience. All I needed to know was what's the portion size of the entrees and the size of the Naan so I don't end up wasting food. The amount of rant and nonsense I had to hear is so painful. How can a tourist know they are not ful size resto if it's not listed anywhere; yet the owner expected me a tourist to know this. I had to decline being served by such an unreasonable person coming from a service industry
We ordered the chicken tikka masala, saag paneer, samosas, and naan. We stopped to eat there because it’s a food trailer and we thought we could grab a quick dinner on our way through Yellow Springs. Not so! It took a half hour to prepare our food. There were no tables to sit at but luckily the little ice cream place next door graciously let us sit at their outdoor tables to eat. We ordered chicken tikka masala, saag paneer, samosas, and naan. The only thing that was good were the samosas. They had flavor. However, the two dinners were the most bland Indian food EVER - almost no flavor except a little heat. We love the flavors of Indian food and this was really disappointing. The chicken in the tikka masala was tough, and the saag paneer was small pieces of spinach not cooked down or blended and in a thin sauce that looked like milky water. It was so weird that I’m having trouble describing it. Just know it was totally unappetizing. The naan wasn’t good either - it had an odd taste - and I’m not sure how you mess that up. It was a complete waste of money: $52 and the food was odd and tasteless. The portions were a decent size but who would even want to eat it? We definitely won’t be back on our next trip through Yellow Springs and I suggest everyone else avoids it as well. I’m not sure where the good reviews are coming from. Either it was an off night when we were there or people in Yellow Springs don’t know what good Indian food is!
The food is amazing and has so much flavor. I ordered Saag Paneer and it has the perfect balance between the Saag and Paneer. And spice is definitely there as I ordered mine with the highest level of spice the Chef can go. The Chef doesn’t disappoint and is very wholesome! In my personal opinion, it feel likes I’m getting a nostalgic home cook meal by my grandpa. I’m Asian hence why the Chef’s food really makes me feel like I’m back home, lol. Vegetarian options: For any Vegetarians and/or vegans, Indian food is the best for you.
Must-try in Yellow Springs. I come in from out of state at least once a year for this channa masala kachori. And he always makes me smile!
Stay as far as possible if you do not want food poisoning. One fine evening I ordered some chat and sweets. The owner talked a lot about Indian food but the chat had rotten potato in it. It had a foul taste and was dangerous to consume. This place should be visited by authorities.
